By far one of my favourite hostels in South east Asia! The cleanliness was on point! With fresh towels and bed made daily! The facilities were also amazing. Really relaxed hostel and great at recommending and organising tours and trips around the city! I felt safe around the hostel and leaving my belongings around the room. The owner Kia is also by far the kindest person I’ve met travelling! She helped the group I was with massively with filling up our days with great activities. She was also very fun to talk to and interact. The hostel was a walk to the night markets and also the bars but away for all the action centre so there is peace in a busy area. Would heavily recommend staying there if you want to relax and clear your mind during the day and to party or even relax some more at night.

Where to start about this place! It is exactly as or better than advertised. It was my favorite stay through 12 weeks of travelling in Asia. I stayed there for 5 nights while exploring Chiang Mai. The Warehouse/what’s up Chiang Mai is a large complex that has a hotel with private rooms (the warehouse) and dorm-style hostel (what’s up Chiang Mai) opposite each other, with a nice pool. They are currently expanding with plans to make a cafe, boutique and more dorms/rooms which I believe will make this a way cooler place (you don’t hear any construction). The large size of the “compound” is refreshing from the generally cramped and small hostels/hotels in the old city.

The facilities are fantastic and new. Most comfortable bed I’ve had in Asia, very clean and nice smelling dorms, new towel and bottle of water provided daily, clean bathrooms, hot showers, amazing A/C, very very reliable and fast wifi. There are bicycles to rent on site for only 50 baht a day. The breakfast is amazing, large and super filling for only 150 baht. There is a western (coffee, juice, fruits, eggs, sausage/ham/bacon, bread, lettuce, tomato and cucumbers included) or a local breakfast. There’s also a bar with decent prices by the reception.

Their pool is absolutely fantastic and open 24hrs, it is always clean, there are tables and long chairs to tan by the pool. It is a great place to either spend the day or cool off mid-day or even at night.

The location is also fantastic, it is about a 3 minute walk from the main road surrounding the old town, but it is tucked in the neighbourhood so it is remains a nice and calm area. It is about a 6 and 2 minute walk from Spicy and Las Vegas, respectively, where lots of backpackers go out to party at night, making the walk to bed super easy.

This is all fantastic, but the service is the highlight of the stay! The owner, Kia, and the staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. They helped with everything from transport, to activity booking, to laundry, directions, EVERYTHING. No request was too much, they were always glad to help and make suggestions. They are all so sweet and make you feel like you’re in your second home. Kia is probably the sweetest woman I’ve ever met, she was a joy to speak to and get to know. I could keep going about this place but my review has to end somewhere..

If I ever go back to Chiang Mai, I will go back 100%. I really cannot say enough about this place. Extremely good value!

Thank you Kia!!
