We stayed here recently and it's good for the price, our room was on the top floor small with a tiny window, aircon worked fine but was stuck on full so was loud trying to sleep, the walls could use a coat of paint, the location is great and the owner is so lovely and friendly

This was our 2nd stay at the Britannia. It was just a lovely as we remembered it. Our hosts Lackie and Ow couldn't do enough for us. They are such a friendly couple and made us feel so welcome. It is such a clean and tidy guest house. We wouldn't stay anywhere else. There are bars and eating places just steps away. If you want an amazing place to have breakfast ask them about the Blu Diamond up the road. Fantastic. Thank you guys for your hospitality.

Stayed at the Britannia for two nights the room was very clean and bed comfy. The balcony was very nice it would be nice to have a couple of chairs on them but that may be a squeeze.
Owners happy to direct to places of interest and had the best map we could get our hands on.
Would recommend.

It's a nice guesthouse inside Chiang Mai's center. Accommodation was nice and clean. The owners, a nice couple, was amazingly friendly and helpful. There wasn't breakfast on the guesthouse, but you have great options just a fell steps away.

We stayed here initially for one night and then out plans changed so we needed to stay an extra night. The place is pretty central inside the old city walls, and it is nice and clean. We weren't able to stay in the same room for both nights so we stayed in the basic room for the first evening which was ok. No fridge or coffee and tea but ok. The second night we had the more expensive room and they have both. The owners were friendly, they have very strict hours of check in and reception so you need to check what time you will arrive. There's plenty of competition in this area and I think we maybe paid a little over the odds for a simple room with no breakfast.

With a good location in the old city, clean rooms and friendly & involved owners, the Britannia offers a good value for money in Chiang Mai.

Rooms are cleaned every day, uoi can enjoy quiet nights and almost all sights are withing short walking distance. The owners are involved with their guests and assist you with valuable tips for arranging activities. The wifi signal is a bit weak, this could be improved, but in almost all surrounding bars you can also use wifi for free.

If you stay there, don't forget to get a great breakfast at the Blue Diamond (we went there every day) and to book a Thai cooking course at Zabb-e-lee.

The hotel is very nicely situated in the Northeast part of the old city. It is clean and the rooms are cleaned every day. You also receive another towel every day. The owners are very friendly. They can advise you on the activities to undertake and give you their honest opinion. They can also arrange some discount. The hotel is rather new and definitely not run down. Further, they can arrange washing for 30b/kg and your clothes are returned the next day.

Owners know their way around Chiang Mai and can fix good deals if you want to go for a cooking course or a trekking.

There is no breakfast available, but you can get a very decent breakfast nearby (Blue Diamond). Furthermore, the internet is not always available. However, there is internet in the whole hotel.

Recommended.

Room Tip: Rooms in the back have no balcony, but are cheaper and there is less noise.
