“Very good and clean but loud place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 December 2013

Anoma is very centrally located in the middle of the historical center of Chiang Mai. Rooms are basic and breakfast not the best but the staff is helpful and forthcoming. We had a room on the second floor the first night and could not sleep as the people starting going up and down the stairs from 7 in the morning. Choose the room far away from the staircase or on the top floor.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper, choose rooms on the fourth floor, as they are the most quite ones.

This was a great experience! The staff went above and beyond to help us out with booking excursions and were very understanding when we requested to change rooms! They cleaned our room every day and were very friendly as we were coming and going. Basic breakfast was good.

Very good friendly staff who went out their way to be helpful, the hotel room felt a bit small but we were never in it long enough to bother us, Positioned inside the old city walls proved to be a good starting point for many trips be they by foot, cycle,or tuk tuk.. Restaurant's a plenty with a lively vibes, loads of tours to do,who will pick you up and drop of at the hotel. Chiang mia is a great place to holiday.

We enjoyed staying in this hotel, situated very central in the historic town of chiang mai. Very clean rooms, nice rooftop terrace, good service from the hotel staff. For breakfast you can choose out of 4 menus, which will keep you going untill the noon. We enjoyed very much staying here and appreciated very much the quality of the hotel.

I stayed there for only one night. The location of the hotel is quite perfect if you wanna visit downtown. Very nice and clean room. The staff was kind, only the owner lady was a bit rude. If you don't take into consideration the fact that it's impossible to take a beer downstairs at 8:55pm, then it is the perfect place to stay.

Their internet site says stay 3 days, get 4th day free. When I asked about this, they told me that was very old and not valid any more.

Advertised WI-FI access, translates to 3 hours per day ending at midnight.

Room electrical wiring is faulty. Don't put a 3 prong plug into their 3 prong socket, it will blow a fuse.

in room safes can be easily picked up and removed, but that does not matter, the safe does not work anyway.

Be careful with the mini-refigerator door, its hinge is broken.

Bring your own cleaning supplies if you want a clean bathroom. But do not bring much luggage, the room is too small to fit it.

This is a great place if you want exercise. There is no elevator and the fourth floor on a hot tropical day makes for a nice mini trek.

There are some nice pictures of this place along with their listings. The pictures look MUCH better than the actual hotel. My congratulations to the photographer.

Room doors are not secure and allow the ample hallway noise into the room. You will not need an alarm clock.

When I asked to cancel my prepaid reservation and get a refund, the hotel management refused.

Just arrived here with our confirmed booking. The girls looked at it and spoke to each other and said we are very sorry, we are full however we have your room in another building.

They brought us to another guesthouse across the road. Saw no other guests here. There were workers renovating most of the rooms. The security of the room we were shown to was questionable at best - rickety door, no safe and definitely not anything like what we had booked.

They didn't said much, just sorry again. Gave us no information about the place whatsoever.

We had booked through booking.com weeks ago however our room turned out not to be guaranteed. It was clear when we arrived that they were not surprised by our booking, they were obviously aware they were overbooked and would be moving people. Extremely poor service, don't know how it has so many good reviews. Be aware that your confirmed does not count for much at all
