Huge suites, nicely decorated with Thai style furniture in lush green environment very close to city center provide generous space in relaxing atmosphere. Small number of rooms makes this very personal. Very friendly and helpful staff provide good service.

Room Tip: Room 121 is rather noisy as close to a generator

Despite only staying for two nights my family of four really relaxed here. The staff and owner were absolutely wonderful hostesses. The Royal Suite was well appointed albeit with firm beds. We really enjoyed the low chilli, high flavour meals in the restaurant-particularly the entrees and salads but all were great and we will come back on our next visit to lovely Chiang Mai.

This review has been a long time in the making. My partner and I stayed at Shewe Wana for a month in the last leg of a three month trip in Thailand about a year ago now. Our stay at Shewe Wana still has a very warm and special place in our hearts – I think it always will.

We stayed at a multitude of places throughout our trip – which also took in Bangkok, Andaman and Gulf islands – and Shewe Wana ranked as our favourite accommodation experience. From the beautifully appointed, comfortable and spacious suites, the smiling, friendly and always helpful staff (special mention to Meow and Goy :-)) to the fantastic cafe and restaurant, we loved everything about our stay at Shewe Wana. Shewe Wana also does fantastic vegetarian food (both of us are vegetarian), has a great cooking class, wellness centre and is close to all the main attractions of Chiang-Mia.

We'll never forget our 1 month stay at Shewe Wana and we can't wait for the day we get to return. Don't hesistate in booking your stay at this wonderful place – it really is an oasis in the middle of the town!

Room Tip: Great place if you're looking for good vegetarian food – we learnt some of their delicious dishes as part of a cooking class, which we often cook at home for that little bit of Chiang-Mai in Australia.

There's a lot to like about Shewe Wana. We had one of the suite rooms which was incredibly spacious and fitted out beautifully with Thai style furniture.
The attention to detail was obvious in all aspects of the hotel from staff service and awareness of guest needs to the little touches in the room. Our family was made to feel like we were guests in someone’s house and although it is boutique in size, they were able to offer absolutely everything we needed. Coming back to Shewe Wana after a long hot day out in or around Chiang Mai is a wonderful memory for us.

Room Tip: The suiite rooms are supurb for familes with two large seperate bedrooms and bathrooms

i spent some nights at this resort and i really love it, if you are seeking for resonable price and green resort in Chiang, you may spend some nights at Shewe wana resort either in boutique or suite zone, boutique zone is fine for 2 pax stay, free wifi, suite zone 2 bedroom is supper for family 5-6 persons stay together, all staff are friendly and helpful, the provided free shuttle TUK TUK or minibus to night barzar (about 5 minutes transfer time), you also can experience Oil and hot compress massage and many more at Shewe wana spa or easy cooking class or use free PC and wifi at hotel lobby and at the coffe house,
