“Excellent value for money”

Great choice this one.

Paid approx B 1,000 per night for this spot, including breakfast. The rooms are excellent value - wifi, tea/coffee, TV, minibar, lots of space, modern and big bed.

The resort has a pool and gym too. And the reception staff are very well organised - even gave me a map with the veggie places in the city marked (of which there are loads by the way).

If I was to be critical, I'd point out that there is no bar and restaurant on the premises so it's difficult to get a alcohol drink or dinner on the premises. It's also a little far out of town, but only a B 60 tuk tuk ride to the centre.

All in all, great value and helpful resort.

We stayed here as a couple in King bed room for a few days.

Good: clean, wi-fi, English spoken, nice breakfast, big swimming pool with almost noone, did not use but gym is also there.

Bad: a little far from downtown and need to get a tuktuk from a big street. Since it rained heavily during my stay, it was difficult to walk to the street. Laundry service is not available at the hotel, you have to walk a few minutes to use a washing machine and then dry them in your own room.

For the price we paid, I think it is more than expectation.
If the weather was better, I would have enjoyed more of swimming pool!
I recommend to people who like cleanliness of rooms and effectiveness of service.

We just finished a five night stay in a one-bedroom suite at the Sakorn Residence. We had an excellent stay and would certainly head back again.

The Good: New, clean, includes breakfast (five basic choices from a menu) , very quiet, helpful and friendly staff, large rooms, no surprises at check out, reasonable rates, nice pool, excellent cleaning service (they even washed our dirty dishes), easy to get back from city outings (right near Wat Kat, which is well-known by tuk-tuk and songtao drivers), excellent restaurants near by (Hinlay Curry house is right next door, riverside dining less than a 5 minute walk away), well-priced airport transfers, easy walk to markets, excellent communication via e-mail, beautiful fitness center.

The Less Good: The bed is as hard as rock (maybe a positive for some people?), the kitchen had various methods to cook food (microwave, crock pot, and single electric burner), but very few other tools for doing any cooking (it provided a nice excuse for eating out), no grocery store or convenience near by (there is a 7-11 five minutes away walking, but they have no alcohol... that's a problem), no laundry facilities on-site (there are some coin-op machines close by, but not at the hotel). These are the only minor issues I had.

Great stay, highly recommended.

Room Tip: I emailed in advance and was given a better rate than shown on their webpage.

We stayed at Sakorn Residence for a week. The reception staff were really helpful on Check-in and were fine the rest of our stay.
The pool is a lovely bonus after a day in the heat, but I can imagine it could get busy during high season.
The rooms are large, clean and the bed is the most comfy I have slept on In Asia.
The location is good as it is away from the hustle and bustle but easy to walk to if required.
There is a good bakery 'Bake and Bite' not too far away if you miss breakfast.

The hotel is gated and entry is restricted at night thus security is good. It also has parking facilities for approximately 15 cars. Breakfast is complimentary and the eating area overlooks the mini swimming pool. Complimentary wifi available with good surfing speed. My room was spacious and well-kept. No visible signs of ageing. It's about 15mins walk to Night Bazaar and about 15mins walk to Warorot Market.

3 months in asia at mainly budget hotels and this would have to be the best value for money. It's not centrally located but it's still only a short walk to restaurants and the market. The rooms were large (big bathrooms), super clean and it's a quiet hotel. Reception staff were very helpful with booking several tours for us. The closest we came to faulting them was the breakfast- it wasn't the world's best, but then it wasn't awful either. overall this place is highly recommended.

Very nice hotel with great cleanliness and staff very friendly. The room is large, facility is sufficient and well maintain. Breakfast is set menu but you will have it full enough. The location is just 15 - 20 minute walking to the old city, night bazaar and walking street.

Very very good at the price.
