“Worth a look”
Reviewed 22 May 2014 via mobile

The place is what I would call a real market. Forget about the other market if you want to experience what a real market is in this part of Asia. However, if one is not the type who is willing to walk into a place with smell and dirty flooring, go elsewhere. As it is also a wet market, with meat like pork displayed in the open, expect your nostril to be hit by smell which reminded you of your butcher while you try to shop for clothes, etc. It wasn't unpleasant, but you get the idea.

But, the best part of this place is the price. I feel like I had walk into a maze of bargain hunter's heaven. Small alleys leading to uncharted treasures. If you have the time, walk slowly, take in the sight, hunt for unusual things you might not find elsewhere, and even if you did, here probably sold it for a fraction of the price.

“Chinatown”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

This market had a bit of everything. I really enjoyed seeing all the different foods on offer. Wonderful smelling curry pastes, chillis, teas and just about everything edible have a place here. There are plenty of clothes and keepsakes here too. Well worth a look.

“I Always Love Markets.”
Reviewed 3 May 2014

Markets like this, especially night markets are foreign to my city. I love going to them and seeing the many items for sale. You can buy anything from clothing, to handcuffs, to knives, to souvenirs, to paintings. There are a lot of talented artists that sell their artwork at this market as well.

There is no harm in bartering with the locals and trying to get the best price as a lot of merchants carry the same merchandise. Just have fun, buy some random things, try some interesting food and take in the sights.

Definitely worth a visit, we ended up going two or three times to find things for friends and family back home.

“small chinatown”
Reviewed 13 April 2014

Warorot in Chiang Mai is small chinatown. You can buy here everything you want! All goods are from Chinas factories=low quality. Go there to just see how is it look like. If during your trip you need something for a short time for example towel, mat for lieing at the pool or trekking shoes its perfect place to find it for good price. Everything is so cheap that you can buy something, use one time and leave at the hotel.
