The place is what I would call a real market. Forget about the other market if you want to experience what a real market is in this part of Asia. However, if one is not the type who is willing to walk into a place with smell and dirty flooring, go elsewhere. As it is also a wet market, with meat like pork displayed in the open, expect your nostril to be hit by smell which reminded you of your butcher while you try to shop for clothes, etc. It wasn't unpleasant, but you get the idea.
But, the best part of this place is the price. I feel like I had walk into a maze of bargain hunter's heaven. Small alleys leading to uncharted treasures. If you have the time, walk slowly, take in the sight, hunt for unusual things you might not find elsewhere, and even if you did, here probably sold it for a fraction of the price.
