“Helpful manager, cool concept, good value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 November 2013

We stayed there twice during our trip.
The design of the hotel is modern and very special with the different theme rooms.
The first time we stayed in a reflexion room, the second time we stayed in the 'harem'. Both were spacious and clean and we enjoyed all the details and artwork. Some might find that cheesy but we kinda liked it. The rooms itself don't have windows which we found a bit strange in the beginning but it turned out we could sleep super well without daylight :-)
There's parking space for a motorbike in front of every room and table and chairs for sitting outside.

Toilet and shower (which is huge) are seperate. The bed is comfortable and a lot of TV channels are provided. Housekeeping team comes round every day to clean and change towels and provide fresh drinking water. Shuttle service to the bus station or airport is included. Same with breakfast which is a rich buffet and a mix of western and Thai style breakfast. Really good quality as well.

A special thanks we want to say to the hotel's manager. Unfortunately we don't remember his name. He was super helpful and always had advise for us. He even gave us lifts so we didn't have to wait for a taxi or helped us organising a table in a restaurant at Loi Krathong. He is a super polite guy with experience in working in European countries which you can feel immediately. Thank you so much for making our stay with you more enjoyable!!!
The lady at the frontdesk was very helpful, too. She was always there when we needed anything.

Why we didn't give 5 stars?
Not all of the staff spoke English good enough to work in a hotel (it's not expected in Thailand in general but in a hotel with international guests), e.g. I had to repeat 5 times 'watermelon shake' when calling the restaurant (and I'm not a native speaker so it might be a bit easier to understand than from a Scottish :-) ) or when we rang the reception to let them know we didn't have hot water, 2 of the staff came immediately with all possible bathroom accessories (shower gel, shower caps, toothbrush, toilet paper) but no mechanic in tow. They didn't understand at all what we were saying on the phone but said 'yes ok'.
What could've been improved is having more hanging space or a small shelf or wardrobe in the rooms, they are big enough.
Furthermore, when we arrived the second time our room was not ready at 4pm. Reception gave us the keys and we found the room to be not ready for our arrival. Not a big deal for us, we just waited while it got cleaned but it wasn't that perfect to give 5 stars.

We would definitely stay again and can recommend the Adventure Hotel!

When my family went to Chiang Mai , we must check in at "The Adventures Hotel"

Chiang Mai is one of Thailand's attraction , so there are many hotel around this province. But not many hotel that have an amazing room's interior decoration. In this hotel there are many designs of room that you can choose the one you prefer. These hotel 's receptions are also nice , they welcome us politely . And that action make us impress this hotel. The hotel restaurant have many types of breakfast that use a coupon paid, the coupon is the promotion for check in the hotel they will give to all the customers. Breakfast menus present famous menus as American and Thai up to you to choose that (when I got there I choose rolled egg and grilled bacon for my breakfast, it was AWESOME!!!) .

Room Tip: There are 3 types of room (Deluxe , Junior Suite ,and Adventure Suite) for you to choose appropriate...

It's a fun little diversion from the cookie cutter hotels and hostels that dominate the scene. You wander the back-lot inspired grounds and find that each room has one of several pretty unique themes ranging from the bland 'classic', the adult film inspired 'Reflexion', or more imaginative ones such as 'Bread & Butter', 'Under the Sea', or 'Caravan'. Each room is themed and decorated, making it a pretty fun experience. Plus, you can change rooms each day to experience a new theme!

The negatives? WiFi coverage doesn't extend to a lot of rooms, the breakfast buffet is utterly mediocre, and you're a bit far from the Old Town area of Chiang Mai where the tourist attractions are. You're blessedly close to the airport though.

While the hotel is a bit dated and cheesy, it's a fun change of pace if you've been on the road a while or if you have kids. We enjoyed our stay without being blown away.

Room Tip: Bread & Butter, Space, Jurassic, Under the Sea, and Caravan are the most imaginative of the room...

We just checked out after staying two nights at this fun hotel. The rooms were great; clean, well-equipped, and a whole lot more fun than your standard hotel room. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room service was quite tasty and good value as well! Although the hotel is a bit out of the way, it's only about a 100 Baht tuktuk ride from/to the city centre. It's also vey convenient for getting to the airport. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking to 'get away' from reality a bit!

We stayed at this hotel for three nights, and ended up staying one more because we loved it so much. We found out about this hotel online and had a hard time deciding which room to take. We ended up choosing the Jurassic Room which looks exactly as it does in the photos. It is a fun place to stay, GREAT for young kids or couples. The bed was comfortable and the washroom was spacious and comfortable. There is a nice restaurant located at the hotel, a little pricey but the food was good. My only complaint about the hotel is the location and the lack of tuks tuks that frequent the area. Often we had to ask a staff member to flag down a tuk tuk, and this could take anywhere from 10 min to half an hour. Despite the location I would definitely go back to the Adventure Hotel, there are many rooms to choose from, so choose wisely. You can also visit all the different rooms and see which one you like the best before making any decisions. Both my partner and I had a great time at this hotel and I am sure if you pick the Adventure Hotel you will too, after all, how many people do you know get to sleep in space?

Room Tip: Ask to see the rooms before making a decision. If you cannot decide ask the staff if you can change...

Adventure hotel is a real gem. My partner and I stayed here in January 2012, having booked through Agoda (cheaper) and were given a pick of different rooms (we stayed in caravan, underwater, jurassic, and mirror rooms).

The concept is really clever, and the rooms are decked out fittingly. The complex is very big, and even the exterior has a theme park feel to it. The staff are extremely helpful- the manager even took us in his car to a local restaurant when we arrived late, and there's a free shuttle bus to and from the airport.

The rooms are very reasonably priced, though the hotel itself is perhaps a little far out; though this is understandable given the size of the hotel. It isn't too expensive to get a tuk tuk into town though. It's a shame, as this hotel could be an extremely popular tourist destination, however, when mentioning this to the manager he disregarded it a little and said he was trying to appeal to Thai business people from Bangkok (???!!!), when I think it'd be more suitable for families and couples with a sense of fun.

I had to give this place five stars from the novelty, the helpful and friendly staff, and its overall potential. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.

A cool idea - the whole place feels like your on a slightly dated movie compound - and the themed rooms are really interesting. We chose the 'caravan' theme and can recommend it. I can imagine it would be VERY cool if you had kids!

I would however only recommend it for the novelty of the rooms though: the location seemed a long way from much (at least 80B from the Old City which is quite a lot), the staff spoke very little English and the internet was pretty choppy.
