Me and my boyfriend stayed here at the beginning of October 2013 for 1 week. The hotel isn't the most modern, but the standard rooms are large and are cleaned everyday and you are given clean towels too! The staff are all very friendly and on hand to help. The manager especially who helped us book all our tours in chiang Mai.
The location is a bit far out, although we learnt that if you book a tuk tuk through the hotel it is cheaper then hailing one down in the street. A perfect stay for families, couples and groups, and if you want to stay in a quiet place then perfect for those travelling alone too!

Exceptional value for money.

Room Tip: If you like breakfast, pay for it at the hotel when booking online, as there is limited places to buy it in the area.

The reason I have rated this hotel excellent is purely based on the level of quality of the staff.

We arrived after a rough stay in bangkok and wanted somewhere on a budget but also half decent considering I am travelling with my girlfriend for 4 months. The room was adequate it had a comfy double bed, decent shower (was hot), fresh lining and towels every morning, fridge and air conditioning.

It was very secure. We had no problems what so ever with leaving our money and expensive items in the room whilst the cleaner was there.

We asked for advice on where to book on arrival to the hotel. Well I have to say you couldn't write what happened next. The manager/owner of the hotel went out of her way to call her 78year old father who flew down to meet us. He took us on a tour around chiang mai, took us to queen bee (a booking shop) & then to his wifes restaurant where the food was disgustingly cheap but very nice. He gave us free food and was I have to say one of the nicest individuals I have ever met. He wasn't interested in getting money out of us he was just happy of the company I think. He took us home for free and I thought that was the last of him.

Low and behold a couple of days later we wanted to book his son (a tuk tuk driver) to take us up to the tiger kingdom as I would rather of put money in his families pocket than somebody else. Well guess who arrived. He took us there himself for no cost at all. He even showed us his house 25 minutes away from the tiger kingdom after he waited outside for us to finish inside. The guy was amazing but obviously this isnt a reason to stay here. The place was fantastic value for money and I would definitely recommend anybody not on a budget or on a budget to stay here.

Family based hotel as well. I've seen lots of kids knocking about and it isn't loud at all. Little bit outside of the night markets but I thought great location.

Only stayed one night as we arrived before our other accommodation was ready. Room had everything we needed and we were very comfortable. It is not luxury by any means, but good value for the price we paid. We paid extra to have breakfast included and that was nicely served. The coffee was good, real expresso coffee. The location is a bit out of town but suited us as it was near to the location of the tai chi course we came to do. It is easy to get transport into town if you need to go, but there a numerous cheap, good restaurants close by.

I stayed 4 nights, for business. Very convenient to my work. Room cleaned daily, large room, TV, water, fridge but no breakfast in hotel, no tea/coffee facilities, no iron available for use. Coffee shop downstairs opened too late for breakfast but 7/11 store virtually next door. Out of town so a long walk, or a tuk-tuk into old town and night bazaar but no problem as I had been several times before to CM.
