I stayed here in June last year and have to say this is a wonderful hotel, I myself think that I have stayed in many good hotels and this is definitely on my top 5 list, breakfast perfect, gym, pool - good as it gets and rooms can not express how much I liked the rooms with the wonderful terrace.

Stayed for 4 nights in late May 2014. Exceptional service by friendly, caring people who went out of their way to take care of our every need from the time they picked us up at the airport to the time they delivered us back for the next leg of our journey. Found overall facilities and grounds to be very well maintained, lush and clean. We loved the room (standard size) which fit three adults on king bed with sleeper. Great decor and balcony. Architecture is outstanding throughout this three year old property which centers around a restored, historic house built on 137 pillars. Much attention paid to details in restoration and new construction. Family agreed this is best place we've stayed at. Less of a family place with kids and more of a romantic getaway resort. Food was very good and breakfast buffet had good spread of asian/western offerings. Great value as we've paid more and gotten less elsewhere. Kudos to the staff and ownership. Trip advisor awards are well deserved.

Room Tip: Stayed in room 26, corner balcony room, upstairs, with great view into central part of resort. Fant...

An excellent retreat in Chiang Mai. It is clear that no efforts were spared to build this high quality city resort. Excellent execution in every detail from the construction materials used to build/renovate the place to the attention of staff and the services provided. Well done! Just the right place for any couple that appreciates the finer things in life and want to escape for a long weekend

I love the staff, all of them are so nice, wearing a smile on their face all the time.
Love the environment, quiet, cosy, bif room, big balcony with a daybed, classic bathtub, in room shower and an open area shower. Free minibars...wow...
We took the cooking class and the chef Sek is really nice, he guided us to a large market and explains to us the ingredients, getting back the hotel by hotel private van, he guided us through each steps and we learned to cook the coconut chicken soup, shrimp phad thai and desert. Me and my wife both loves the experience, thx Sek! He and the executive chef also asked us to email them if there is any question in thai food cooking. We consider this cooking class the best experience in our chiang mai trip.

I stayed in the 137 Pillars House with friends and I will never forget my time here.
The hotel is amazing, and its not down to the stylefull décor, thought out service, or great breakfast. There is an atmosphere, privacy and luxury that ties everything together.
You can feel the passion of the staff and the owners. I can only recommend spending as much time here as possible.
