“Great place in a lovely city”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 September 2013

We stayed in Qi 68 during our four day trip to Chiang May in july. The moment we set foot in this place, we knew it was going to be great. The owner(s) are genuinely friendly and the whole stay is really stylish. They work with some sort of "minimalistic-meets-eastern-style-design", but it really works. The rooms are clean, large and a joy to be in.
If you want to, they will make breakfast for you. Not some sort of shabby buffet or the usual limited a-la-carte experience. You'll have a seat in the kitchen where they will prepare all sorts of nice food for you.
The hotel has bikes of its own, both motorbikes and regular bikes so it's easy and safe to rent one. All in all, I would really recommend this place to anyone visiting Chiang Mai. You won't find anything better, especially in this price range (which is cheap to say the least, considering what you'll get in return for it). Stop doubting and book this one, you'll love it!

The reception area is really nice and very trendy with a cushy chair next to the desk. Even the room key is really cute as well if not a little big. I was in a deluxe room so I had two full size beds and it was still quite roomy. The bathroom has smooth stones on the floors which I thought was an interesting design touch. I also had a vine covered balcony that looked onto the street. The view from the balcony isn't that spectacular but the plant life distracts from it. I only had breakfast once when I was there and it was really good, the rest of the days I'd have to leave before 9am for my planned activity and my flight. Daurunee the manager and her friends were really nice as well.

It is a bit of a trip from Nimmanhaemin Road where there are some nice cafes and restaurants. I thought it would be a short walk, but I think you have to cross a major road so a taxi is necessary. Do not leave without directions back to the hotel that is provided for you at check-in. I made that mistake once and got a little lost as the taxi driver couldn't find the street. Other than that it was a really cool place to stay, just know going in that you will be dependent on cab rides to get to the happening part of Chiang Mai.

This was by far one of our favorite hotels we have ever stayed at. The atmosphere was a peaceful getaway from the bustle of the city that we looked forward to returning to each night. The breakfasts every morning were spectacular and the management team was beyond friendly.

we loved our stay at OI68. It is well designed and super modern, OK there could be things a bit more practical like a table for a laptop and some additional hanging space for cloth, but all in all it's sexy and minimalist with a great bed. The staff is very helpful and we loved our daily breakfast experience, the chef is creative, what you get is different every day, no menu always a surprise and prepared for you on the spot with great camp flair and drama (a bit costly though). We loved our 5 day stay and will be back

Room Tip: use mosquito spray on the terrace next to Koi pond

Most of the other reviews mentioned already the excellent design of the place. The breakfast was good and enjoyed in conviviality in the entrance lobby that is used as a kitchen also. I would have given "excellent" if it wasn't for the immediate surroundings of the hotel that are of no interest. You'll need to walk a little before encountering some other form of life than a dog. A vehicle will be necessary to take you to truly interesting places (except if walking was your goal that day).
Just a note: the bathrooms are only symbolically separated from the bedroom. It didn't bother us at all but can make your granny slightly uncomfortable in case she shares your room.

Room Tip: The 2 larger rooms with balcony are also facing the street with low traffic. If you have a light sle...

Minimalist style with nice design. Form & Function well.Every corner worths taking pictures.
Homemade breakfast is good & recommend.
Quiet so sleep tight at nights.
Owner, staff & dog are friendly.
A little far from main street + some smelly garbage bins & construction sites on the way.
Should provide more amenities e.g. hand soap, hand towel, hair dryer

Very cozy and comfortable, the place is located in the downtown area with minutes away from Nihman Road where you can find good food and good places to hang out.

Great value for money, small yet stylish and the owner is cozy, the ambiance is relaxing and peaceful, totally recommended!

Room Tip: The white room is large and the bathroom is superb
