We found the new location quite easily although when we arrived, it was closed. A few days later, we tried again and it was closed again. We were talking to the owner of Tengoku and she said the owner was having some problems and didn't know when she would reopen. Well, we are not deterred and we will try again.....but we will call first. Hope her problems are quickly resolved and she returns to please all of us who love a good deli sandwich!

Was looking for a good sandwich and was happy to find Pickles. Tried the pulled pork with potato salad. Great BBQ flavor on a big bun. Big portion and nice quality meat. Located on Soi 5 across the street from the Godzilla figure outside Shirayuri restaurant.

I found the old Pickles just after they closed the Changpuek location.
Now I'm happy to report they are open again in a brand new location on Nimman Soi 5 in the same mini complex as House of Wine and Tengoku.
The quality of the Corned Beef in my Reuben was amazing with great pickles on the side and potato salad. They do all the usual meats from Pastrami to Pulled Pork. The quality and portion size warrant what some would say are higher than average prices, most sandwiches are Bht300 but I felt it was definitely worth it.
One of the very best sandwiches in Chiang Mai and you could easily share one.
Deserves to be a success

Thank manustu

If you miss deli tastes from home, this unassuming, out of the way place will fix you right up. I have eaten a lot a deli around the world and this was a pleasant surprise. They make their own corned beef and brisket. I had the corned beef Reuben and it was very juicy and tasty, made with homemade sauerkraut. (390 baht). My friend had the brisket sandwich(300 baht) and another had a hand made breakfast calzone and it too was very delicious. The calzone was gigantic and the meat sandwiches come in regular and large portions. The latter are huge and I found the regular very filling. The service is a bit slow as the owner seems to be the only service person, but it was well worth waiting for.

Not on the beaten path but not too far. Directions: from the old city Chang Pruak gate, on Chang Pruak rd. go toward the super highway. Look for Mercure Hotel on your left (about 2 km) Immediately after the hotel, turn right on the small soi, go to the first street and turn left. Very soon you will see a side street enter from the left, but go straight on for another 40 meters and Pickles is on your right. .Enjoy
