Stayed here for 5 nights. Started off good with an automatic upgrade to executive suite for no reason. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good. Swimming pool and gym a little dated, but suffice. Excellent hotel for what we paid.

This Hotel is really great. Step out of the lobby and on to the street and you are right in the middle of the 'night markets'. 50 paces down the road and grab a latte from Starbucks and 2 metres further on sit down in a beer garden and enjoy the coffee and after that have a beer and something to eat while watching the life all around you. All the beautiful staff make you feel like royalty and nothing is too much trouble, their english is understandable, they are able to fix anything and their grace is unbelievable. The sumptuous lobby has a tour desk with excellent staff and can arrange tours everywhere cheaply with english speaking guides and great cars with aircon.Internet is available in room or in a couched area in the lobby. Rooms are very comfortable and large and the breakfast is 'to die for'. I have stayed there twice now and will again next year, I feel like the staff are like family, I was just that comfortable.

Room Tip: Smoking rooms are available

Stayed in this hotel in January and was very pleased with staff. hotel was clean large room, ample water and tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast was a joy, fresh food and juices. nice lobby and toileteries were great. i should have been picked from the airport but the driver was at the international arrivals whilst i was waiting at the domestic arrival. mistake by airpot staff. took a taxi to the hotel and the manager apologised and upgraded me to an executive deluxe room on the 7th floor. great views. room cleaned everyday and everything replenished. hotel great location as its easy to do shopping, massage parlour next doorl, kfc and macdonalds opposite, lots of other eateries serving fresh food around. amporn tours at the end of the road, booked all my trips from them and got discount. for a 3star its very good value for money. returning soon to the same hotel.

We stayed here early October and found the location ideal for shopping and sightseeing. The rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. No free internet or wifi included and it will cost you an arm and a leg if you want it. It's true about the touters outside the hotel - just ignore them. Lobby staff not the best and claim not to understand English very well (I travelled throughout Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam without any problems). However, dayshift Manager was very accommodating. Next time I would try The Meridien next door.

A Dusit Hotel. We were given a free upgrade to 2 delux rooms with inter-connecting door. Large rooms with desk, tea making facilities, couch, coffee table. Compact but modern bathroom. Limited parking but always managed to find a space. Generous buffet breakfast with eggs cooked to order. Helpful and friendly staff. Coffee Shop and Chinese Restaurant.

A great hotel on the Chang Klan Road. It's right in the heart of the Night market (a great place for shopping and finding a bargain.

A beautiful air conditioned lobby, with very helpful staff. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet, despite facing onto the night market. We were on the 7th floor so had great views of the hills.

Breakfast was a buffet with Asian/ English dishes, and a chef to cook pancakes etc.

As others have said, there are always taxi touts outside. However, if you smile and say no, they leave you alone. A walk down the street has massage, KFC, McDonalds as well as a lot of local food sellers.

It was the friendliest place in Thailand for us. Every time we stopped and got the map out people were stopping to help us, recommend places, and things to do.

Only down side. No free wifi at all. The lobby had a pc with a very expensive access plan. There was in room wifi was equally expensive. This was no problem, as there were cyber cafes nearby, including a fish pedicure with free internet included.

The hotel basically is just average but the staff makes the hotel great. I stayed in room 717 from 26th september 2011 to 30th september 2011. Chiang Mai was flooded. We had gone for business. There was no way we could venture out and meet the suppliers & shipper. But the ever helpful staff made it possible. Special mention for Front Office Manager Mr. Sukanchusin Tipkhamta. Not only did he make the arrangement to drive us down to drier land from where we could take a taxi to visit the suppliers. He arranged the meeting with the shipper near the hotel & provided a matador truck with hotel staff who shifted all the goods to be shipped to India from the hotel room to the cargo van of the shipper. He provided us with airport transfer at 5 am in the morning when the roads were flooded. We would have appreciated a room with bath tub to unwind after the days work.
