As part of our Honeymoon, the hotel we kindly gave us a free 4 course Thai set menu which we had for dinner last night.

The food was extremely tasty from start to finish.

The flavours of the duck curry were stunning.

The setting beautiful, sat on the terrace by the hotel pool.

So much more than a typical hotel restaurant!

My cousin Carrie asked me to take her to spend a relaxing holiday during her annual leave inJune this year. So, I took her to my favorite city, Chiangmai. Like other travelers, we toured round some tourist sights and visited many temples. Just a street next to our hotel, there was a restaurant named Ruen Tamarind. It was inside the Tamarind Village hotel. As first, we thought it was a restaurant served northern thai food. Never thought of that it was a very romantic place. We had our dinner at 8:00 p.m. A live band of two, man and woman, had wonderful performance there. Those songs that brought you back to the good old days, such as "Top of the World". And also, to our surprise, might be they saw us, 3 Chinese woman, a song of Teresa TANG was sang by the Thai Singer with accurate Chinese accent. As for the food, they had a Chinese Menu that listed the 10 signature dishes. We loved the Tamarind Pork Chop. The lamb was good too. The most important thing was the food, service and environment costed us less than 2,000 bht. We had a full stomach and felt contented when we left the restaurant.

Lovely setting in the Tamarind Resort. We ate inside but you can eat in the pool courtyard. Food is northern Thai cuisine, surprisingly reasonably priced for the quality and ambience.

We are three dishes all very much enjoyed for our lunch. You can sit inside or outside by the pool. Large Thai menu with siganture dishes and western foods.

They serve breakfast lunch and dinner.

We felt the quality is very high of the food, you wont be dissapointed.

They have their own lovely ceramic range and the soft furinishing and art is stunning.

Part of the Tamarind Village I can understand why its popular.

The restaurant was packed the night we arrived and people were waiting outside to sit inside. Although it's at a hotel, many people came from other places to enjoy the ambiance, great service, and traditional Flavors. We were not disappointed, as the margaritas were strong and had a citrus taste, the appetizer of mushroom tempura was crisp and tasty, and our main courses of pork spare ribs and red curry with pork in coconut milk were outstanding. The curry had eggplant pieces that had a smoky flavor, and the spare ribs are generous and the meat just fell off the bone with tangy sauce. This was a delightful meal we will remember
From this vacation.
