Description: Serving traditional Thai food some dishes with a little modern twist. We have focus on taste, food styling and using top quality raw materials. Besides from our Thai menu we also have a Western menu leaning towards classic comfort food some dishes mixing Asian and Western flavours. The decor is eclectic with a feel of colonial style - it is formal and at the same time relaxing. You can choose between proper seating or casual dinning in one of our comfortable sofas.

My wife and I came here based on previous reviews and it was our last stop on the way out of the city. The food is wonderful and the staff is welcoming. You won’t be disappointed with any of the dishes there.

Ginger and Kafe's menu is varied and original, offering fusion dishes from around the world, some with a Thai twist at very reasonable prices. I went with the Northern Thai pasta with Chiang Mai sausage. Really tasty. My wife had the pineapple fried rice served in a pineapple. The mango sticky rice was as amazing as it is everywhere.
The service was good. We had a few people wait on us but one lady (short with short hair) was particularly nice and took photos for us when asked.
The décor is very nice, almost like a rainbow has exploded inside a traditional British mansion. You have to remind yourself you're in Chiang Mai. Some tables are with sofas, others chairs but all are different. We turned up without a booking and were fortunately seated straight away, but it's a popular place so best to reserve.
In Chiang Mai street food is excellent, abundant and cheap so it takes something special to lure you in but Ginger & Kafe delivers.

We came here for dinner, with a reservation. The reservation got us seated inside and we were too surprised to ask for a table outside, which has nice ambiance. I had the tamarind pork and my spouse a curry. The portions were much larger than any we had gotten anywhere else and the pork was delicious, melting off the bone. Service was fine, although we ran into the "a group with a man gets quicker service than one with only women, even if the women arrived first" syndrome that we had experienced in Vietnam. The menu stack is confusing, especially since there are many duplications--I recommend going with the one that has pictures and ignoring the others.

Came here many times n always my favorite place to dine n shop Chiangmai .. ordered a lot food as always but had to return the chicken curry which was to tough... exchanged it with tom yum soup but again the taste wasn’t the same .. too thick and curry-like n very salty. Still love the interior but food wasn’t great this time ..

One of our favourite restaurants in Chiang Mai! Food was fresh and the service was excellent. A little oasis in the old city.
