We stayed at the Riverview lodge for 15 days in Nov. 08 . We booked the room online directly thru the hotel. The room that we stayed in was basic and clean, the air conditioner blew cold air and for $ 17.00 / night I dont see how anyone could complain.
Located across the river from the old city and the night bazzar We found it a great location, if tired of Thai food you could walk a block and eat at Dukes an establishment opened by an Expat American and his Thai wife. Ribs ,steak, Cheeseburgers ,pizza All the food westerners are trying to get away from is here for the eating. Fair prices good service.
We used the Hotel as a base while exploring northern Thailand. They have an excellent travel agency in the lobby whom we used to book our adventures, ATV tours, cooking school, Longneck tribes, and Elephant rehabilatation park. Everything was as described by the knowledgeable staff. My wife and I have been to over 30 country's and this was one of our best trips. A great place for budget travelers remember you always can spend more!
