We booked this country side hotel without understanding how far from Chiang Mai it was located. The taxi charged 900 B for the trip. Beautiful and well maintained garden, large room was ok but the huge hotel was empty! Only one additional guest. The "SPA" looked like not been used in 25 years. Next day suddenly the place was filled with a bus of 150 young people partying late in the night. We were told that in fact the place is living on big groups (company events etc.) and not ordinary tourists. The swimming pool was large and clean but two steps were missing in the ladder.
On positive side the front desk manager "Joe" was very nice and helpful. He arranged a red car at reasonable cost for us 3 guests when we wanted to visit the famous Yi peng festival at Mae Jo University area.
We would not recommend this place for a longer stay but for two days it was so and so ok if you want to breath fresh air after being in Chiang Mai.
