“Beautiful Old Temple”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 March 2014

I went to this place at the end of the day, at sunset. It was an increbible atmosphere, alone at Wat Jed Yod! It was so different from other temples in Chiang Mai, because it is mainly ruins. I loved it!

“Ancient buildings”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 February 2014

This temple is surprisingly peaceful considering it is right beside the Super Highway. There are hardly any tourists and it is nice to walk around the wooded grounds exploring the old brick built temples and stupas. The design of the ancient temple is very unusual and I liked that the building is still used.

“Calm in a high speed world”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 January 2014 via mobile

This Wat is a little way out from the throng of CM, but in my view it is worth the trouble of visiting. The entrance sign suggests it has Royal connections, but we found it a place for the Thai people to be. I believe this is why it has a feel of calm and respect that many other
Wats don't seem to have anymore. It is not grand but it does have beauty.

“Nice Quick Visit in Chiang Mai”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 April 2013

I loved Wat Jed Yod, which we visited after the Temple on the Mount. It couldn't have been more different in every way - peaceful, 800 years old, very serene. I loved the beautiful banyan tree beside the temple, so gorgeous.
The vibe here is amazing, you don't need a long time here, but I would definitely recommend it, as it had a very unique peacefulness that I haven't experienced much in SE Asia.
