Myself and a friend stayed here for 4 nights in June, we could not fault it one bit! Excellent base for seeing the sights of Chiang Mai. The staff were lovely and always greeted you with a smile, rooms nice and spacious and breakfast was plentiful and very nice. Would definately stay again!!

Raming Lodge was a nice hotel but there are certainly nicer for around the same price. Rooms are very bright in the morning and bathrooms are very dated (mainly the shower). There is not too much water pressure. Beds are very hard and breakfast is a little boring. If you are holidaying with children i definitely would not stay here as it is in the "red light district": Every pub/bar has lots of Thai women out the front looking smutty and oozing over every guy that came past. Great foot massage place across the road on the street at night (just recliners set up on the street). Close to Night Bazzar but next time i would stay somewhere else.

Dear. Guests

First of all , We would be appreciated with any comments from our customer who ever been
here at "Raminglodge hotel & spa" Chingmai.
Our hotel is located in the middle of Chingmai City at Roy-kroh road in easy walking distance
to many of attractions " walking street Sundy Market at Thapae Gate , Saturday Market and
Night Barzaa etc."Back of our hotel further away from the bars and pubs on street if you no need
to see the ladybars you can walk to this way you'll no have problem with the noise and ladybar
And each of 76 rooms in the hotel are covered with the certens, So our guest can slide clossed when they no need bright in the morning. Otherwise we have a plenty of choice at
breakfast in the morning , everything always warm.
In case of the water pressure (Shower) we put the water tank at each floor to make the
water pressure stronger, Also the beds we put the solf tupping make it to be 10 inch size for
our customer , So we trust that it's not so hard bed for our customers by absolutely.
For our swimming pool, Guest must be crossed the street 20 meters from the door of the hotel
and during the rainny season some day may be have downpour, our staff must be take some
chlorine in the swimming pool ,So guest may be have feel like a chemical smell.

At least, The Raminglodge hotel & spa hope that our customer will be understanding
our situation well,

Kind regards,

Mr. Simon Sakchai Pimdee

It's just 5 mins walk away from the Thapae Gate, which makes it very convenient to go to the Sunday market which starts from that gate. Saturday market near the Chiang Mai gate is also walkable - we walked there and took a tuk-tuk back, which costs around 50baht. The Night Bazaar is down the street. And I guess that's about all that you'd want to walk to in Chiang Mai - the temples in the Old City is also walkable, say about 15 - 20 mins away. All our tuk tuk rides costs between 40 to 60 baht. Enough on the location, the room itself is clean and spacious, complete with all the basic amenities. We took the superior room, at number 302 towards the back of the hotel so it's further away from the bars and pubs on the street, no problem with the noise at all. Ok, maybe breakfast is a little boring - limited selection of local + western food, ours came with the room so if you can, you might want to exclude breakfast and go eat somewhere else. Receptionist speaks very decent English. I'm happy :)

We loved Raming Lodge, in easy walking distance to many of the attractions of Chiang Mai and the best staff! Staff were helpful, bright and efficient. Cleanliness was great and the room was good.

We only stayed for 6 nights but we just loved the hotel. We have stayed at lots of hotels in Asia and this would have to the best value for money. No complaints - 1500 bhat a night included fresh fruit, fruit juice, 4 bottles of water and soft drink every day. The rooms were very clean and the staff was excellent - from housekeeping through to the front desk. Everyone always had a smile and nothing was a problem. The restaurant was great - didn't have a lot of meals at night - but usually called in for a drink on the way home to watch the end of whatever World Cup game was on!
Can't wait to get back and hopefully stay longer! Didn't get to check out the pool - it is a bit out of the way - but it was sooo hot during the day, a cool shower and rest was called for. Loved it!
