We have now had several stays at Puripunn over the years and every time it manages to surprise and delight us with its absolute quality. Everything about the hotel is exceptional and everyone seems to be able to maintain the highest quality of service time after time. This hotel provides a perfect oasis from the busy city but is within easy walking distance of the night markets and a wide selection of restaurants.
Our thanks to everyone for another fabulous stay.

My husband and I stayed at Puripunn during our 2 week honeymoon in Thailand and absolutely loved our accommodations and overall stay in Chiang Mai. The hotel grounds are cozy but beautiful, with a breathtaking open lobby and a wonderful pool. Our room was close to the pool, which we requested so that we didn't have to lug our luggage up any stairs. Here were our highlights:
- Delicious thai ice tea served when you check in
- Absolutely beautiful rooms with charming decorations and a wonderful bathroom
- Free wifi!
- Staff was so professional and kind
- Hotel tuk tuk that took guests to the night bazaar
- Close to city center, which is only a 10-15min walk
- Daily breakfast (not complimentary but very tasty)

The only criticism I have for the hotel is that it is a bit out of the way, and while it means a quiet ambiance for guests, it really was down an alleyway of residential homes. Thankfully the hotel provided flashlights for extra safety. And beyond that, my husband got eaten up by mosquitos, so I'd recommend you bring bug spray with you!

But seriously, one of my favorite accommodations on my honeymoon, and I'd recommend it to anyone going to Chiang Mai, who is fine with the location. It's just too charming to pass up.

Room Tip: Stay on the first floor so you don't have to lug up the stairs.

We stayed 5 mights here in March 2014. LOVED it! It's more like a wonderful home than a hotel.
Very strong WIFI! Plenty of bandwidth here. Never had a problem, and we were here 5 nights.
If not for the too-firm (for me) bed I would have given 5 Stars All Around.
The location is excellent, just a 20 minute walk to the Night Bazaar. To walk to the West Gate might take 30 minutes (or a $3 tuk-tuk). Because this hotel is located 2 minutes walk away from the busy road it is so peaceful and quiet. No noise of any kind! Certainly one of the quietest places we've ever stayed, and since we're on a worldwide excursion we've stayed in.....um.....quite a few!
The style, ambiance, and decor of the room is that of a beautiful home. Truly exceptional. Plenty big, with a desk, couch, padded sitting area in the bathroom, jet-tub, big shower...nice nice nice all around!
The courtyard of the hotel is landscaped and designed like a private tropical paradise.
A/C and ceiling fan keep the room plenty cool.
We never had any noise problems in the room.
We would gladly stay here again if we return to Chiang Mai.

We came home one night from the opposite side of town and it cost $3 in a tuk-tuk, so maybe that's a standard fare around town?

Room Tip: We had room 107. It's a Deluxe Room, upgraded from a Superior.

We recently spent 3 nights in Chang Mai at this lovely hotel! It was truly a little gem
to return to at the end of a busy day. One could choose to unwind at either the pool or sitting on the comfortable sofa on the outside veranda of each room. Birds were signing and flowers were
in full bloom every where. The place became magical at night when all the gardens were illuminated by small lights and floating lanterns.
This gem is tucked away in a residential area near the old city. The hotel provides free shuttle to
the old section of the city. Breakfast was lovely and served on the open air terrace in the gardens.
There was lots of variety and plenty to select from.
The staff at the hotel was very friendly and willing to assist us any way possible.
This is a place were you come to relax and reenergize yourself at the end of each day.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the second floor. Lovely to overlook the grounds.

We visited Chiangmai as part of a multi stop tour of Thailand and were delighted to arrive at the Puripunn! Located just to the East of the river, the hotel is in a quiet location in part of the older city, but well within walking distance of the city centre and major attractions.

The hotel offers excellent facilities, beautifully furnished and equipped in a great setting. The staff were fantastic and the boutique nature of the hotel meant we hardly saw any other guests, despite the hotel being busy.

Definitely our first choice when we return to Chiangmai!

This was our first visit to Chiang Mai (we kicked ourselves for not making it here on previous visits to Thailand), and Puripunn made a splendid base for our 3 days exploring the delights within the old walled city. As well as venturing to a nearby-ish (45mins drive) Elephant Park, recommended to us by one of the hotel staff.

The location was ideal... close to everything, yet secluded, and away from the 'tourist' melee. The hotel staff were charming and attentive. And the room was spot-on for my wife, 3 year old, and myself to stay together in for our short stay.

Hotel is Beautiful, room is nice with huge balcony over looking the pool. Breakfast is functional but no surprising. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Its very easy to find the hotel and we walk around most of the time. It's about 15 mins walking to Night bazaar and 30 mins to the old town. Since this hotel is hidden in residence, it will be very dark and quiet in the night time, but didn't feel dangerous at all walking back.

Room Tip: Ground Floor (1st) has a ground access balcony, but I prefer first floor (Room 2xx) as you can overs...
