“the best B&B in Thailand”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 February 2009

I went to Thailand with my mom and younger siblings (20-25 years old) and we went to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Ko Samet (the worst, but that's another story). We stayed in 2 rooms and both of them were gorgeous. They were startlingly clean and had all the Western comforts plus overflowing Thai hospitality and charm. The staff was friendly and helpful and were laid back but still attentive. The decor was modern and fantastic. The rooms were efficiently air conditioned , which was a must in Thailand in June. The 3Sis is in a great location and is on walk for the weekend markets. The food is also delicious and breakfast is included in the rates, which were very reasonable to begin with. They even had free internet in the lobby. I wish that every hotel in Thailand could be like the 3Sis. It was just right and I think that I'm a bit of a little picky about my tastes. I also left some pearl earrings in the room and contacted the 3Sis staff by email and they mailed them to me at no cost. Can you believe it? I will definitely stay there again when I return with my husband.

3 Sis is a lovely family-run bed and breakfast. The owner and the staffs are very nice and helpful. The building, bedrooms and bathrooms are spotlessly clean. The furniture used are of high quality, very comfortable bed indeed. 3 Sis is located in the centre of Chiang Mai so it is very convenient to move around both on foot and by tuk-tuk. Highly recommend if you want a pleasant stay in Chiang Mai with mimimum cost!!!!

Our family stayed in the vacation lodge from January 7 to 13. We loved this B&B and the entire staff, especially Soh, Tine, Pop, and David. They were all very helpful with making arrangements and giving suggestions. The entire staff was very helpful and pleasant. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The lobby area is a nice place to hang out if you have free time. The outdoor portion of the restaurant is a good place to hang out and people watch. The location of 3 Sis is great. Within walking distance of lots of great temples, restaurants, and shops. The Sunday walking street market is great and 3 Sis is right in the middle of it. I highly recommend 3 Sis and would love to be able to return some day.

Please note that 3 Sis runs a B&B and a Travel Lodge. This review is for the Travel Lodge which is not listed separately on TripAdvisor.

We visited their cafe for a break from our day and liked the place so much that we decided to stay there when we came back through for one night later in our trip.

This is a mid-range property and the price and amenities reflects that. A decent breakfast is included and their are two computers with free internet access. The downstairs lobby area is also very nice. The rooms were clean, comfortable, yet simple. The bathrooms have a separate shower (not a wet bathroom) which you don't find in more budget accomodations.

Staff is very friendly and helped us with several questions (they spoke good English).

The room we stayed at was 1800 baht for the high season. Lower priced rooms exist (1300 baht) but were not available. I am not sure their is a significant difference other than the full height doors in the nicer rooms that give almost a balcony feel. I would ask for the less expensive rooms and opt for those unless their is another difference.

We have chosen to stay here again during Christmas and New Year period base on our wonderful experience from the previous year. Upon arrival, warm, friendly and simling faces welcome us. Amazingly, Pop was able to recognize us once we enter the lobby after such a long time!

This time round, we stay in the Bed & Breakfast part of the building. The check-in is done within a blink of the eye and this is perfect after a long 9 hours drive . The room is adequately design with all the necessites and the building interior is tastefully decorated. Our room overlook the rear part of the building which is quiet and away from the setting sun. We were happy to see the additonal variety in the breakfast menu and also, internal lock in the room.

The location, which is opposite the Wat Chedi Luang is fanstatic, and many good eats such as Huen Pen, and a strip of food near the 3 kings Monument are within walking distance. In addition, the Sunday night market is actually on its footsteps..

Although it was peak season during our stay, the staff always try their best to fulfill every request or answer any query. All in all, the stay is absolutely brilliant and we have thoroughly enjoy our time here. Will be looking forward for our next trip here again.....

We happened upon the 3 Sis while visiting Wat Chedi Luang (which is just across the street) and stopped in to check it out. Walking into the spacious, serene lobby and speaking to the staff at the front desk was all I needed to do to know that I wanted to stay there!

I like that the property is family owned, the restaurant serves locally grown food (from dad's garden!), and the staff is treated well. The guest rooms, restaurant, and lobby were all VERY clean, and the staff was really kind and helpful - they even helped us by calling to confirm flights and arranging for taxi pick-up.

The 3 Sis B & B was fantastic all around!

The hotel is conveniently located in the old city, straight on the "walking street" where the Sunday market takes place (the street is not "walking" on weekdays). Rooms of medium size (we stayed in the new building). Nice bathroom. Very clean. Noise insulation between rooms seems very good, but the door and windows let everything through, so it gets noisy on sunday nights (sunday walking street market) and in the mornings (a school nearby) - a reasonable price to pay for a central location. Free wifi. Good European-style breakfast. English speaking staff. Very fast response to direct booking emails - had no problem booking a room "at the last moment" whereas a neighbouring hotel where I also had sent a booking request never replied at all.

Finding a parking spot in the very narrow side street can be a challenge in the peak season.
