Booked through Agoda ("lowest rate guarantee") for 700 baht per night, when I get there I find the same rooms offered for 550-650 baht per night on the whiteboard. Apparently the guarantee only applies to rates offered online.
I must have been given one of the 550 baht rooms - the bed was hard (even by Thai standards), the pillows lumpy, there was no fridge, the paint was peeling, there was several months worth of dust under the bed, the skirting boards were falling off and the air conditioner was one of the noisiest I have ever heard.
The photos on their website are not representative of what I got, there were no large windows, no blinds (basic curtain only), no stylish furnishings, no LCD TV hanging in the corner (you get a small cheap CRT on a table opposite the bed) and the bathroom is in classic 70s Thai style - fully tiled with a shower, a toilet, a very basic basin and nothing else.
The only nice thing about this place was the pool.
Stay away, there are much nicer guesthouses available for the price.More
