This is until now the best value for price I've ever seen... Service, room, breakfast and so clean. Thumbs up!

I can imagine that the coming high season this accommodation will cost a lot more, as it's opened just 5 months ago and is not that recognised yet by the mass.

If you are looking for stay near Night Bazaar with half price of other the accommodations around this is the place. It is 10 mins walking from Night Bazaar and Old City. We went to Saturday Night Market, and it's only 12 mins walking.
It is near Chang Thai Guest House (2 min), Maninarakorn Hotel (4mins), and Imm Imperial Hotel (6 min).
Room is quite, new and very clean, with small balcony. We have triple room and it's very comfortable for us. Amenities include soap, shampoo, and shower cap (no toothbrush). No hairdryer, no kettle for hot water, but they have fridge. Complimentary glass bottle water everyday.
Breakfast is same everyday, with one staff cooking for all the guests. Eggs, toast, sausages, ham, juice, water, and coffee. She works hard, I think she deserves some tips.
Mind that there is no room service, restaurant, or massage place on site. However, just few minutes walking behind the hotel, they have few places to eat open until midnite. There are few massages parlour within 8 mins walking.
Very good internet connection, compare to some other hotels.
For the price we paid, it is much more than enough.

Thank you for staying with us and sharing all your wonderful comments of the Nordwind Hotel. We also feel that it is one of the best values in Chiang Mai....we are still offering Grand Opening rates !!!

Please note for late night eating....one soi over (where Dim Sum Restaurant is) there are 2 restaurants open until 2-3am....and are very busy with locals. For massages, we can arrange for you to have in your room.

We hope to see you again, in the near future.

This new hotel has very friendly, helpful staff and is located within walking distance from the Tha Phae Gate, albeit tucked in a side soi, so it may be a bit difficult to find. Shower is great, aircon is strong, lots of electrical outlets, but window placement is weird. However, if you are familiar with idiocy of Thai architecture, you won't be much surprised by the interior - you shouldn't be wasting your time indoors anyway. There is no gym, pool, or hippies. A good experience overall.

Room Tip: Laundry is 40 THB/kg -drop off and pick up next morning. PERFECT!

Located at the east-south of the city. The hotel is lovely and super new. The owner said they just opened 3 months ago. So that might be a reason that we didn't meet other guest there actually. The room is so nice and clean. Toilet as well. This hotel is flawless but a little bit out of the centre. There are some local good restaurant for dim sum , stir fried and local cuisines . Riding a bike is essential cuz you might not get a taxi easily.

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel only days after it had opened its doors to the public. The hotel is modern and has beautiful, large, well appointed rooms in the traditional Lanna style. The staff is friendly and tries to accomodate your every request. I ended up staying for more than a week, first in a superior room and later in a suite.

The superior room features a desk, a balcony, a seating area, a fridge and kettle, and a flat screen TV. The bed is incredibly comfortable, in contrast to many hotels in Thailand. The room has a modern en-suite bathroom with large rain shower. My only comments are that the balcony is fairly small (and therefore not all that useful), and that the wooden furniture could do with a bit more cushioning.

The suite is absolutely beautiful, with (in addition to the amenities of the superior room) floor-to-ceiling windows, a sofa, a huge flatscreen TV on a swivelling wall, and a bar. The bathroom is enormous and has a full bath. The only thing I found lacking was a desk to work at.

The hotel offered an excellent American breakfast each morning in the space on the first floor (I wouldn't quite call it a restaurant). Aside from this there are not that many food options nearby. There are some simple eateries in the next street over, but otherwise you'd have to go into town. In general I would say that the area where the hotel is situated isn't all that interesting. You'd be best off walking for 15 minutes to get to the night market or into the city centre, or catch one of the many songthaews.

Altogether the Nordwind Hotel was superb, and I found my stay very comfortable. If you don't care too much about its location, this hotel is a great pick for Chiang Mai.
