Stayed for one night at Bodhi Serene hotel in Chiang Mai on October 30. It was amazing. Very very clean hotel and cozy room. The view was not great as we got a back room but it did not matter as we were only spending one night there.
Booking was easy - I saw a special rate on their website, emailed them and got a response within a few hours with a booking confirmation.
The buffet breakfast was great and a chef was present to make eggs of your choice. The location of the hotel was the best - right in the middle of the walled town and very close to some great restaurants. The night market was a few blocks away and can be walked to. However, we took a tuk tuk and it was 50B.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was on the second level but it was easy to get our luggage up there as they have a clever ramp for that purpose.

This little boutique hotel is the perfect place to go for a little slice of heaven that will not mean morgaging your home. It is in the heart of the old city, very close to everything but far enough away from the hassle of the town to ensure quiet. The rooms are beautiful, the layout tasteful and the pool a relief after a hot day sightseeing or shopping. Breakfast is fantastic. A major sell for us was the staff who could not be more helpful and friendly.

My family and I stayed at Bodhi Serene for a week after reading reviews on TripAdvisor. We were thrilled.

The rooms are lovely, and the staff are absolutely amazing. Khun Thai, Khun Dao, Khun Pang and Khun Tip (travel desk) to name a few are just so helpful and honest. As we had to change our dates due floods in Bangkok, part of our booking fell into low season - they lowered the price for these nights without any request- amazing.

The free wifi was readily available and good speed.

Although small, the gardens are very relaxing and the breakfast area was a perfect start to the day.

We took a number of private day trips booked through Khun Tip. Our driver Khun Joe was friendly, helpful and very safe. The price was ok as well.

I have stayed in Chiang Mai before, and I must say that staying in the old town is worthwhile. The cafe next door "Ginny Cafe" run by Khun Tee not only has good food and service, but they are very informative, but not pushy at all.

The Sunday markets are much better than the Night Bazaar, and Chiang Mai Cotton is an excellent shop for quality cotton outfits for women.

Thank you Bodhi Serene. We will be back.

Room Tip: We had a higher floor room so the view over the garden was nice. Executive Suite nice and spacious.

This is my second visit to Bodhi Serene, every bit as comfortable and pleasurable as the first one. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the rooms impeccable. Despite this being on a main thoroughfare, once you enter the hotel, you are in an island of peace -- the air is fragrant with lanna herbs, the swimming pool beckons, and the sound of fountains fills the air. Truly a delight.

Their services, such as spa and laundry are a bit overpriced, so well worth avoiding. Their food, while being a bit pricey, is at least of good quality.

Room Tip: Try and choose a room that is away from the adjoining disco and overlooks the main square with the f...

I stayed in several hotels in chiang mai and this is one of my favourite: the rooms are big, fully furnished in Lanna style. Bathroom with both sohwer and bathtube.

The breakfast room is outside facing a little and relaxing garden. Breakfast is varied and offers a wide selection of western and eastern food. The staff very kind and attentive to the guest.

Plus the hotel is almost in the center of the town, a short walk from all the temples and from the night bazar; it's near to my favourite spa Oasis Spa.

I definetely reccomend this hotel and I'll come back soon.

Our room is on the ground floor. It really is spacious, comfortable and clean. The hotel itself is quite small, not many rooms hence not many people around, making the place perfect for relaxation. It is located in the old city. Some of the famous temples such as Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang are within walking distance. The place is also surrounded by many nice restaurants, one of it is Hot Chillies, really beautiful place and superb food. The hotel staffs are really nice and helpful, especially those working in the restaurants. They are so attentive.

We had to stay in another hotel, but just before the flight, we got a mail that told us it was close due to the floods. We choose the hotel because of its location and the good reviews at tripadvisor. It was a good choice. The first surprise was upon arrival; we had a delay in our flight to Bangkok and missed the last flight to chaing mai. So in fact we missed our first night. They didn’t charge us (and I even didn’t consider asking them)
The location is excellent. It's a Short walk to Saturday and Sunday market (not on the same places). Not far from beautiful temples and in fact, most of the sites are within walking distance.
Room is very comfortable and clean. Bathroom is amazing, I read about the huge bath, we took our time to fill it and it was great!
The hotel is small (even smaller than I imagined) build around a small Pond with trees. Amazing stuff.
Breakfast on the terrace is nice. We did have a free dinner, but it was very disappointing. Every restaurant around the corner has better food with more options, so if it's part of the package, it's not bad, but if not, just go outside and tern to the right- go to Ginny café.
Tee- the manager has a lot of tips, recommendations for food and trips and speaks good English. It's very cheap (we never paid more than 10 $ for both of us) and she has local dishes such has kaw soi.
When you plan your trip, don’t miss the Sunday market. It's amazing, many crafts and unique pieces, special atmosphere and the temples are open at night. Its only few minutes' walk from the hotel and a must do in chaing mai.
We will definitely come back again.
