Stunningly beautiful grounds well maintained and landscaped. Super friendly and courteous staff, drivers, and cooks. Supreme attention to detail in all aspects of our stay. Bookings for local attractions handled professionally and efficiently at the desk. The staff made sure any of our transportation needs were met even when flagging down hires on the street and haggling prices. Excellent menu selection including authentic Thai food in the restaurant. Willing to make any substitutions to meet any dietary or palate concerns, provided the food was available. We have a very restrictive gluten free diet and it was easy to dine at the coffee shop and main restaurant for varying mealtimes. However meal service closes early. The room was very comfortable and pleasant to stay in, decor was done colonial style and very welcoming and interesting. Our room was located near the spa pool on the ground floor and we had little noise from other guests. Resort is located on a busy street but again the noise was not noticed at night. Very peaceful setting. Location is excellent providing easy walking distance to the night market and large choice of restaurants. If you prefer transportation it is easy and inexpensive about 80 baht from the night market or 150 baht from across town near airport (30 min ride in Tuk Tuk). Less than 800 meters from the train station. Bathroom was spacious and comfortable. Amenities are house made and available for purchase as well as being provided in ample quantities. The products themselves leave you feeling pampered and luxurious. Truly not enough good things to say. Recommend this resort for anyone or any family. Wish we could have stayed longer and wanted to give the place a hug when we left. We will definitely be back!

Room Tip: Plan to stay in Chaing Mai for more than a week.

We loved our stay at the Shewe Wana hotel. Although close to a busy road, the hotel itself was quiet and peaceful. Excellent breakfast choice each morning served by charming staff. My spa treatment was carried out by the excellent therapist in the Spa, very professional. Highly recommend.

Room Tip: Our room on the higher floor was a little on the dark side, a small light or torch to access safe would have been beneficial. Otherwise very nice.

We could not recommend the Shewe Wana Resort more highly! Beautiful rooms, lovely complimentary products (so much so, I bought bottles to bring home with me).

The staff were friendly, super helpful and nothing was too much to ask and their help on things to do and booking tours to taxi's was a pleasure for them to do for us.

The rooms are beautiful and we took 3 teenagers, 10, 12, and 14, and stayed in a two bedroom apartment with a roll out bed for the boy, the 2 girls shared a king bed. 2 bathrooms also made life easier!

The kids loved the pool loved the staff and loved our time in Chiang Mai. We would go back and stay here in a heart beat.

Room Tip: All rooms were great... Beds are hard but we found that all through Thailand and Malaysia so if you like soft take something with you for these countries. One lady told us she travels with a blow up pool mattress!!

Beautiful boutique resort, very friendly staff, nice rooms and away from all the hustle and bustle. We really enjoyed our stay. This is definitely a great alternative if you don't want to stay in the bigger hotels.

Good:
Beautiful garden style decor
Huge rooms
Good service
Great Spa

Bad:
Location 15 min walk from old town ( although there is a free tuk in evening)
Main thing was we paid a LOT extra for a suite with a jacuzzi because it was my wife's birthday.
It was only a small bath with bubble jets, not possible to fit two people in, rather defeating the point of a birthday jacuzzi! The private balcony had a view of some waste ground and a petrol station.

The standard sized rooms were huge anyway with nice balcony view so def save money and don't get a suite.
