I stayed 3nights at Shewe Wana. The resort is quite and full with tropical decoration. Our room is not large but enough for two of us to stay. The swiming pool is near the dinning cener. We can order food on the breakfast menu. When we check out at the late night, the lady at the reception asked if we want to go with them as they are going to the airport to pick up their guests. They are really thoughtful and provide a good service. We really enjoyed the stay.

Shewe Wana is close to the centre. They offer a free trip to the Night Bazar by Tuk-Tuk. Breakfast is good - a lot of options to order from the menu, but limited Thai alternatives to continental. The lobby is small but sufficient. The outside breakfast area is a good place to relax. The two swimming pools are small, but great to cool down after a centre visit or a jungle trip. The only topic to improve is the quality of the 3rd bed we required in one room. It was too hard and there was not sufficient room left. We had to book an additional room.

WOW, you have spoilt us forever. No where else can compare. I have travelled a lot and Shewe Wanna is truly the best ever. The staff are outstanding, wanted to take them all home with me, or never leave. The gardens make you feel as though you are in paradise. The food in house was the best in Thailand. I hope my staff back home speak of me the same way as staff at Shewe wanna do about their boss. Admiration and great thanks for what they have been given. The room was clean, decorated beautifully. Loved the Eco friendly approach. No plastic, Eco toiletries. I'm coming back!

Room Tip: All superb, whole place quiet, just need to choose what your needs are.

We stayed here for 3 nights (2 adults and a teenager) in a family suite and had a very relaxing time. The room was huge with a separate sitting room and one of the few places we stayed where our son got a proper bed rather than a camp bed which pleased him! Breakfasts were freshly cooked with excellent choice. I had a very relaxing free massage as part of our package. The beautiful gardens give the hotel as tropical feel. We did walk in to town which took about 20 minutes but the heat and humidity meant that we only did it once and we felt the cheap tuk tuks and taxis were worth using.

We stayed here as family 10 days ago with our three children and were most impressed by the resort. To be honest we felt the photos did not do the place justice as there is such a lovely calm atmosphere to the place which is rather surprising given the proximity to the main road.

Super friendly and helpful staff who arranged free tuk tuk trips into the city in the evenings and a delightful breakfast spread accompanied by cappucino art which caused no end of amusement to the kids. If we ever went back to Chiang Mai there is no doubt about where our stay would be. Well done guys keep it up !

Room Tip: The standard rooms are quite small whereas the suites appear disproportionately huge

We stayed with our family of 5 (children aged 13, 10, 8) in the Shewe Wana Resort in the Suite 511 directly accessing the pool. A paradise for our children that could go to the pool anytime. Breakfast is very individual with a buffet and some specially prepared dishes (eggs, potatoes) all included. The different buildings are embedded in a lush green environment. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Despite the location alongside a very busy street, you don't hear any noise on the inside. There is a big nearby market about 100m away (hidden within the houses) for everything that you might need to buy (cheaper and better than the overly touristic night market). City gate is about 10 minutes walking distance and there are plenty of Tuk Tuks waiting in case you're tired or not motivated to walk.

Room Tip: Suite 511 directly facing the pool for families with kids
