Such a pretty place. Quiet, except for some inconsiderate guests running up and down the walkways early in the morning.
The pool was freezing but lovely, the fountains were not always working...not sure why.
Room was traditional and comfortable. The shower was great with plenty of hot water all fay. Staff at the front desk were as helpful as they could be when they were there. There were times when you couldn't find staff. The poolbar was never manned. On one occasion when it was hot it took 3 staff members before I could get someone who understood my order- a coca cola!!! (brand name is the same in thai??)
Getting a taxi was not really a problem but in traffic- which we saw nearly every trip over our 5 day stay- it was a 20- 30 mins drive to the night market or the gate area. Our friends asked about the spa and were told it was closed but that someone would come to the hotel to perform massage in their room. They said the massages were ok but pricey.
Breakfast was not so good. We only went one morning- had an upset stomach a few hours later!?!
The hotel reports that it has a mosquito problem but since it was quite cold we saw very few.
All in all we were disappointed with the hotel and would opt for a hotel closer next time. More
