Baan Kang What is a short distance from the Old City. There are a variety of small shops and stalls selling clothing, jewellery, pottery, and other craft items. There's also food and drink stalls. Most of the products are artisan made - the jewellery is particularly beautiful. The clothing while well made was of similar design.
You will needs lots of baht if you intend buying anything - a dress will cost around 4000 baht. There's was quite lovely jewellery from around 2000 baht for small pieces in silver.
We spent around an hour there wandering around the various pathways looking at different artisan stalls I would happily go back, taking more money with me.

Have been here several times to have a coffee, a stroll and a look at the products on offer. Great way to spend a morning.

Nestled in a reasonably small compound, the various shops offer a large variety of artisanal products with workshops throughout the day. There are a number of coffee shops and food stalls where you can relax with a lovely cup of coffee or cool drinks. The Old Chiangmai Cafe located towards the back of the compound serves a range of coffees and drinks, plus excellent food dishes. A must see/must visit Chiangmai experience.

A very delightful place to visit if you are in Chiang Mai for travel. Vibrant, cheerful place with lots of coffee shops, handmade/craft souvenirs and many good spots for a photo-shoot. Group of families, couples, friends or even solo traveler should not miss out Bann Kang Wat.

There's something for everyone here...pottery, painting, leatherwork, clothes, and several coffee shops. It's a delight to get out of the city and enjoy the fresh air on the side of the mountain,.
