We spent a month in Thailand and we stayed at good hotels, but this was by far the best hotel of our trip!
The hotel is cozy, the staff is really kind and always available to help, as well as the owners, that helped a lot with information about the region.
The decoration is amazing. The breakfast was really good and everything was prepared so carefully that we felt at home.
Everything was very clean: the room, the restaurant and all the common areas.
The restaurant is very good, I liked the food a lot, but it's reeeeeaaaally spicy, even when they say "not too spicy" and it's not a cheap option.
I recommend this hotel and when I come back to Chiang Mai, I'll certainly stay there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ruen Come In. Owner Mai and her son Taam did everything that they could to ensure that our stay would be enjoyable and even helped organise our onward hotel reservations in Phrae and Nan. Our bedroom was huge and was accessed through a living room of almost equal size. But the key to their success is in their personal charm and hospitality which made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Our only reservation was that the internet did not work very well during our stay but this did not present too much of a problem as Taam kindly lent us his ipad (with 3G). The location might be an issue for those travellers who want to be at the heart of the action. Ruen Come In is some 15 minutes ride from the town centre. For us the location was an advantage - well away from the hurly burly of Chiang Mai

We spent a week at Ruen Come in - the accommodation was great and the breakfasts were to die for!! The owners and there staff were very accommodating - always prepared to make sure you're holiday was one to remember. The teak guest houses were charming and your privacy was respected at all times. They often taxied us to special venues and often made wonderful suggestions relating to tourist hot spots. The cooking classes were particularly enjoyable visiting the market place and cooking at Ruen Come In. The staff were particularly helpful and nothing was too much trouble - we appreciated the personal touch and politeness of all members. We would recommend this hotel to any travellers.

Definitely the best resort we had experienced in Thailand considering the price, not too expensive, and the quality, very high.
We stayed here one night only unfortunately but we were very pleased to have booked this hotel.
The owner was extremely nice and her team too. We had been warmly welcomed, they took care of our staff and offered us a drink, which is typical there but always pleasant. The hotel looks very nice, the room are very well kept and warmy with its teak finish in lanna style. The bathroom has a hydro which was quite a good surprise as we did not had the time to properly check that when booking..we really enjoyed a rest in there!!
If you have problem with the noise, very little, you can ask a room far from the street and the external walkway.
The only think is the wi-if that did not work properly on the room but that fortunately was not a problem as we had our phones..

After brief discussion, my wife and I concluded that this was the best value accommodation during our one-month Thailand trip. It is a beautiful hotel; mainly teak construction. The staff are exceptionally friendly and super attentive. And that Rice soup at breakfast .... well, my wife is still determined to get the recipe (it used red jasmine rice). Pet nik noi - Kraap [Just a little bit of spice .. please]. The rooms have a Victorian opulence; large, exceptionally well-appointed; suite-style rooms with lounge, TV and fridge separate; huge bed; excellent bathroom. And all that with breakfast included for less than €50 per night for the room.

So what's the catch? There is one only if you are frightened by taking public transport in "a strange place", because a Songthaew for two to the Night Market cost us 60 Bht (€1.50). One night we walked to Nu's for dinner passing humble homes, workshops and stores (an experience!!). The hotel will take you to the city centre for 200Bht (€5).

In fact, pondering further, Ruen Come In is the best accommodation value that I can think of in all my travels ... ever ... anywhere.

Amazing. If I put in considerable effort while on performance enhancing drugs, I couldn't think of any way to improve our stay here. Ultra helpful, food was excellent, rooms and bathroom excellent, and staff friendly without being too much. If you're staying in Chiang Mai you should use tuk tuks as much as possible. 100 baht in the day to get into town, and 150 at night. Ideal. I really enjoyed this personal boutique service. Will stay again.

Having enjoyed our previous stay in Chang Mai we were looking forward to returning but learning that my wife had booked us in here came as a bit of a surprise. As this was to be just an extended weekend to take in the Loy Kratong and Lantern festival I would have preferred accommodation a bit closer to the heart of town but with that said we did enjoy our stay here. It being a bit further from town actually means its a lot quieter and the room sizes in this place are huge although the bathrooms are small in comparison and in need of a bit of attention. The hotel was happy to transport us into town whenever we wanted for a fee of course and the restaurant served our needs without any problems. Language can sometimes be a barrier but the staff all seemed to cover each other well and no request from us ever got overlooked. Breakfast was always prompt and tasty except maybe the sausages and they do a pretty good coffee as well.
