“A boutique hotel in Chiang Mai”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 May 2012

This hotel is a lovely place to stay in when in Chiang Mai . it is located right next to the old wall of the old city and is within walking distance to the great night bazaar and the weekend market. It is tucked away so you don’t see it from the main street however its designed in Lana style and the rooms are just beautiful. the breakfast is great with a good variety of food .
I would suggest it for the people seeking a romantic place less for families with children as the pool is not big. we have stayed there 5 times already and will use it again when traveling to Chiang Mai. We took our daughter and her husband there and they loved it so much that they said they would not mind staying in the room as the rooms are a good size but not huge very nicely decorated.
For those who have never been to Chiang Mai try and hire a driver to go to Baan Tawai ( an artist village ) and there is also a weaving village and an umbrella making village .do not go to the touristic places as they are not the authentic experience.try and take a trip to the mountains and to the orchid farms along the way and if you are up to it go on the flight of the gibbons adventure and swing from the tree tops.
By rule don’t buy your tour packages from the hotel but go to the main street and you will find them for half the price. enjoy

I booked at De Naga hotel based on advice from a Thai friend about finding small, boutique hotels and B&B's. My expectations were modest. However, when I got there I was very pleasantly surprised with the beautiful decor of the place, with beautiful Thai inspired design. It's gorgeous! The room was large and very nice. The breakfast was first class and the staff were very courteous and helpful. The location was perfect if you're there for Songkran, which was my reason. Lots of bars and restaurants within steps away from the hotel.

we arrived (2 couples) and were greeted and shown to 2 beautiful rooms - we booked the Grand Deluxe rooms and we were not disappointed. The service was excellent, from all staff and the location was a little quiet oasis a 1 minute walk to the main road, shops, restaurants and 2-3 minutes to some bars. Breakfast was OK. Loved our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Beds were comfy, bathroom was large as was the room.

Location - Very Good.
Pool - very small & cold (boutique)
Food - Good
Service - Excellent.
Room - Excellent.

Lovely traditional room in a good location. We booked this hotel for one night and were planning on staying for 4 more nights. We booked on hotels.com and then went to the reception desk in the morning to book the extra nights. The price they quoted was more expensive than the internet prices so we went back to our lap top to book the extra nights at the cheaper price - we got distracted while searching through the hotels and ended up booking a higher star rated hotel for cheaper, so we moved on. There were no complaints about this hotel other than it felt very empty (not that that is a problem). The pool was tiny and there were better value for money hotels around.

The property is nicely done up. The room size is ok, just nice for 2. The breakfast is average, can be better. Location is ok. Stayed here for 04 days from 1st to 4th April for a short holiday with my girlfriend. Surrounding is pleasant for a great holiday and sex.

Part of a tour group that stayed here for a couple of nights and we were not disappointed in the least. A very spacious hotel with a wonderful view of the pool as well as the river. Breakfast out on the patio in the morning was so peaceful and just added to our already great vacation.

Excellent, clean, spacious rooms with very new and nice bathroom. Facilities are all extremely well cared. Free internet access in the lobby. Small but nice pool. Really nice court and garden. Staff is extremly polite and helpfull. Very near to town center, Tapae gate and to the sunday market. One of the best deals I ever had.
