Great location, easy to get to main tourist locations from here. Very clean hotel and well maintained, nicely decorated in thai style, excellent breakfast every day, nice setup, outside as well as inside tables! Staff was very helpful and service was very good, would stay here again!

There was my first time to Chiang Mai with my wife for holiday. We loved the location of the hotel. Just 10 minutes walk to Sunday walking street and parking space provided for motor bike overnight parking. We could rent a bike for going to most town area. Different from Phuket, you will easily charged for illegal parking for motor bike at Chiang Mai. The traditional Thai style design of the hotel attracting me a lot and room was large and clean. All staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good. We really relaxed at the hotel to have a wonderful holiday. Sure it would be my only choose at Chiang Mai.

We really loved the location of this hotel. It was right near the Sunday night market and easy to get to from anywhere in Chiang Mai.

There was also a nice happy hour and a tiny little swimming pool to relax by in the evening.

We had breakfast in our rate and it was an excellent spread with pastries, an omelette bar, western and eastern breakfast fare and some nice rice soup with all sorts of fixings to add.

The things that kept the hotel from being "Excellent" versus Very Good included the fact that we had tons of mosquitoes in our room (the hallways are outdoors and there is no seal on the door). We would have liked not waking up covered in bites!

The other issue was during our checkout in the very early morning (5:30am) to make a 6:50AM flight. We were trying to get on the road to the airport and the person who checked us out insisted that we could not leave until he checked the room and then he said one face towel was missing and that we would have to fill out paperwork about it before we could go. I had never encountered this issue before and we did say that we didn't think we had two face towels and that we didn't take it. We filled out a form to this effect and then he finally sent us on our way, with much confusion over whether we now owed extra for the towel (mostly due to language barriers as he did not speak much English and we only know 2 words in Thai). We have no idea why that was the process as it seemed like the towel count wasn't a priority for the hotel cleaning staff, but it was critical to our getting out of there to catch our flight! Maybe if this is part of the process, ensure your staff leaves the correct number of towels in each room, or be less intense about face towels in the future! We haven't been charged for anything, which is a relief, but it was a stressful way to start an early day. It was probably a new person and our early depature may have been a little unusual, but overall it wasn't a good way to end our stay.

We would recommend this hotel for the location and little perks, but if you're mosquito bite prone or have to leave early in the morning, it may not be a great fit.

Our second stay, 12 months on and if anything the hotel has improved. We travelled in a large group - my wife & I, our 3 grown up children and their spouses and our little 17month old grandaughter. The rooms were of exceptional standard. We were greeted and made to feel welcome and the checking in process was fairly easy. All the rooms facilities were in good order and condition and the hotel is well maintained. Deluxe rooms are fine but the Grand Deluxe rooms are spacious and also have very spacious bathrooms. It is very much a boutique Thai contemporary style hotel and has a fantastic feel to it. The breakfast is very good quality with a good selection and the bar's happy hour made the kids very contented. Its location is very central with a 2 minute walk to the Segway tours of the old city, Not far from Restaurants, Bars, massages, laundry and 7/11 supermarkets. I will definately go back for a 3rd stay at this special hotel.

Room Tip: Grand Deluxe rooms are so much bigger - for that special occasion.

Had a wonderful experince in this hotel. Great prices, services, rooms etc.. Was in a fabulous location. Cannot reccommend enough. Their breakfasts and especially the home made coconut jam was amazing. Their little cafe also did the best food. Such an amazing place. We will definately stay again.

Stayed at De Naga in mid Feb. this year for 6 nights. Chose it in the beginning because of location in Old Town and price was in my budget. It only took a couple of days to realize we had selected one of the best locations in C M at least for us. Location is a 100 ft from moat. So we were close to most places in Old Town and just a short distance to many interesting places just outside O T. The beginning of Loy Kroy Rd is just 5 mins away by foot. True Mexican Café Miguels and fun outdoor hamburger and sandwich shop Mikes also minutes away just outside O T! Now as to the hotel: When checking in we were greeted warmly and all went smooth. We had a 1st fl. room which we liked for convenience. Room was a little small but was nicely appointed. Wooden floors neutral colored walls. a large window provided mid day light when we were there occasionally. Bathroom provided nice large shower. Shelf space around the sink for very limited however. Our maid service was very good and I tipped our lady small amount daily to help continue said good service. YFI not very powerful but did exist There are 2 lobby computers available and worked well. There is a hostess in lobby to assist with activities and tips. We did not use due to pre research and reservations. If you are an avid swimmer you probably want to think of other hotel options. There is a pool BUT it is very small. We didn't come to swim so wasn't a problem for us. Also heard from others that water was quite cool. The best for last: The breakfast was quite good and we used the option for breakfast with our hotel per diem. Its typical buffet style with choices of Western and Thai. Both were excellent for a hotel breakfast! Western: French Toast, Bacon, Eggs to order from cook, fresh fruit and great pastries! Thai: very good stir fry with rice, rice noodle dishes etc. Across the alley from De Naga was a great bar: Johns, with a roof top setting and view and cooler air! There is no shortage of fun places to eat and drink very close to De Naga. We would stay here again!

Rooms were nice and comfy. We had a room on the last floor, so we did have a nice view and no noise.
The service was really nice and really helpful.
