During our ride around samui we stop by this place to get some drinks and we saw the food menu, it could be only good. We had sandwiches and the day after we came back for a late breakfast.

Very clean and good with good price too.

My husband and I came out of the resort and walked on the main street. We were craving for desert or good bread. Suddenly German Bakery sign caught our attention. We decided to check it out. We ordered coffee and 4 different cakes for both of us to try. Cakes are very delicious, especially the pummel pie. We spent about 700 THB in the bakery. Bakery also offers big breakfast.
However the best thing about this bakery is its environment and its owner, Sonja. The bakery isn’t big, maybe 4 tables inside and one outside. Because of its small size, we were quickly involved into conversion with Sonja and other customers. Sonja is a German lady. She is loud and straight forward. If you want to have fun, visit her. We had great afternoon in her bakery. It’s so much fun to be around her. She told us how Koh Samui progressed over past years. As tourists, we only see surface of Thailand, but she sees deep inside. Her comments are bit exaggerate but with certain truth. People and culture are part of travel, and that Sonja will provide you insight.
Meeting her is a high light in our trip to Koh Samui. Sonja took us to great inexpensive restaurant and lady boy show. She also recommended us a great driver and gave suggestion where to go. We couldn’t forget our time in Paradise Park which is not on many tour packages. It is the best park we have ever seen. We would just come back to Koh Samui for that park.
Her bakery is more like ancient Chinese tea house, information center. Having coffee and cake in her bakery, you will never know what you can get out of there.
