“Worth the Visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2014

Yes, it's a busy tourist spot, but it's worth the visit. The statues are beautifully built and very detailed. Just ignore the crowds and look at all the details and designs. Bring a camera and just take your time walking around.

“Nice Visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2014

This is certainly worth a visit, maybe more than the big Buddha, though the latter is less touristic.
The Wat is divided in two buildings, both worth visiting inside. In particular the smaller one has very nice murals (same style as the Royal Palace in Bangkok) that are worth looking at.
Do not forget to spend some time on the look-out on the lake for the fishes. You will see some really big, I mean huge beasts.
Go there with a camera, plenty to shoot.

Not far from Big Buddha is Wat Plai Laem, a collection of Buddhist Temples and great colourful statues. a lovely place to visit, there you can buy a bucket full of fish feed and feed the thousands of fish that are in the lake there, also a few small souvenir shops all to do with Buddha
