“Avoid this restaurant!”

La Pizza

My basic advice is to avoid this restaurant especially when just around the corner is a pretty solid Italian pizza joint.

On the down side, this restaurant had:

1) Terrible Service: Apparently they thought we were American, so they were rude to us. They also forgot to give us anything to go with our pizza (such as oil, tabasco (sp?) sauce. Finally, and this was the worst, the son put a very, very sharp knife in front of 10 month old daughter, who immediately grabbed it and started waving it around before I could properly react.

2) Lacklustre Food: In fairness, the salad was decent and the pesto was tasty. It’s just that everything else was poor quality and over priced. The penne noodles were clearly cooked hours previously and were pure leather. The pepperoni pizza was plain, and had very little meat on it. The bruschetta was absolutely uninspired. It was stale bread, with a thin layer of tomato sauce and a small piece of melted cheese. Anyways, you get the idea, pretty bad.

3) Awful Ambience: You choose what was worse, the mosquitoes, the owners staring at us with a slight scowl, or the plastic lawn chairs.

Anyways, go there if there is NOTHING else open. If the 7-11 next door is open, settle for a Singha and a bag of chips and know that you spent less and got much better food. Even better, check out the Italian Pizzeria just around the corner as they make a nice pie. You’ve been warned.

“Little gem in Bangrak”
Reviewed 22 September 2012

Unpretentious little French restaurant
I go there on a regular basis, feels like at home.
The lady boss is cookig herself with the help of two Thais.
Food is a mix of mediteranean favorites andThai food.
My altime favorite is the 3 cheeses pizza but their beef filet with pepper sauce is fantastic, price is right and service is friendly but not in your face type of place.
I definately recommend this place
