Description: Sweet Sisters is a whole-food cafe serving delicious, healthy and original food from local produce. The menu has a distinct Southern Thai accent, but speaks in many languages: Thai fusion, seafood, and vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free if you like. The kitchen never uses msg, white or polished rice, sugar, farmed fish, shrimp, nor will chef Noiy buy factory chickens - only produce she can find from sustainable organic sources. Many of the vegetables and herbs are from Noiy's own plantation. Breakfast menu from 9am-11am. Last order at 8.30pm, please.

“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 January 2014 via mobile

This place is not only NOT like any other restaurants in Samui, it is not like any other restaurant I've ever been to-period. They use the freshest spices and infuse all kinds of herbal aromas into their food. For example, we had the mango-ginger and mango-mint shakes with lunch and you could taste the fresh ginger and mint really strongly. My husband had a Parmesan rocket salad with crispy prawn and I had pasta with prawn and they were both delightfully fresh and aromatic. We had their spicy black coffee with cardamom and ginger-outstanding! This place is definitely worth the drive off the beaten path.

“By a mile and a half the best Thai restaurant on Samui”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 January 2014

Over the last 11 years having spend a good 200 days on the island, I grew sick and tired of the MSG blanketing homogenized "Thai" restaurants. Identical menus, identical umami taste, same ambience. Boy, was I happy when Sweet Sisters opened doors two years ago. Not only does the owner prepare delicious dishes with a creative touch in a pleasant atmosphere, she also varies the menu depending on what she can find on the market, always trying for organic, local produce. Sometimes it even is from her own farm. And best of all she does not only not use MSG, she also makes her own sauces and uses when she uses soy or fish sauces makes sure they do not contain MSG. It is a 100% MSG-free place. The real thing. Here her real talent shows. The dishes still taste Thai with a pleasant umami taste without the use of MSG! And I haven't even mentioned her fruit juice and smoothie menu or the brownie and carrot cake selection ...

“Healthy Thai Delicacies”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 January 2014

After scouring TripAdvisor for some healthy Thai food in Koh Samui (I mean seriously, a person can only eat so much meat on a stick), we decided on this quaint little eatery and boy were we pleased.

We started with deliciously refreshing beverages, the tamarind ginger cooler and the lime soda. I indulged in the Pumpkin Coconut soup with Prawns (which was lusciously creamy) and my husband just loved the Tom Kah Gai (he is quite the connoisseur, ordering it at every single restaurant).

We then enjoyed the Tofu Summer Rolls (complemented by a sticky sweet dipping sauce), Tofu Laab salad (with the Thai heat we’d been hunting all over the island) and the Tofu Som Tam salad (refreshingly tart and crisp).

Everything was adorned with edible flowers, which added that exotic tropical touch. It is evident that the food is made with care and love for healthy, yet well-developed Thai flavors.

The restaurant was very clean and the service was great. I wish we had time for a second visit, it was definitely a treat.
