“Excellent Day Out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 April 2014

As we're not too good with long boat travel, we chose going to Koh Tan (15 min boat journey) instead of the more famous Koh Tao (which takes about 90 min by speed boat), and we're not disappointed. We have an excellent day out when we did good snorkelling (fishes were plenty and colorful including green spotted sting ray, giant clam and many soft corals) and a very relaxing lunch on a beach with fine sand and a swing hung from a tree with some 30 m long ropes! The beach setting is idyllic with a reclining palm tree in a postcard setting. If you like snorkelling, you should not miss this!

“Fishing day”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 March 2014

We spent the afternoon in a speed boat and fish a Baracuda which we had that same evening, Koh Tan is a nice little island off Samui and worth to visit for sunbathing , snorkeling or fishing.

“Beautiful and quiet”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 February 2014

This island was an amazing break from the activity in Chaweng and Lamai. While visibility wasn't great on the day we went snorkeling, and the sea lice bit us up, the island itself was really great to see. We had a private longtail tour which included lunch (the tour itself was OK -- our guide didn't speak English so it was basically just us guessing about things) and he took us to four locations. The first was a stop to snorkel, the second was an empty beach where we swam and had lunch, the third was a mangrove walk, and the fourth was an inlet where we swam a bit more. The beach where we had lunch was the most beautiful spot, with very blue water and white sand. There were no other people around. The mangrove walk was fun, although it seemed treacherous because the planks were unevenly spaced and you have to watch where you step. We would recommend this island to anyone who wants a break from the bustle of Koh Samui.

“Amazing snorkeling”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 February 2014 via mobile

One day I and my friends (6 people) wanted to go snorkeling around the coral reefs and see many beautiful tropical fishes, I called Mr. Mhoo. He said that it's better to come and book the boat. We made the booking and next morning the boat departed from "Aow Thong Tanod Pier", 15 minutes and we were close to Koh Tan, which is still unspoiled, natural charm. The snorkeling was remarkable! We visited Island Village and tasted the local food that it's the best. After lunch we were swimming in transparent water. It was unforgettable tour!

“Lovely little island”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 February 2014

Get the long tail boat from Thong Krut and the Boatman will wait for you. Very pretty journey. Walk along the beach and go for lunch. Very laid back. A few day tripers and lots of storytellers, who stop for lunch, so it can get busy. An idyllic island. Maybe best to visit early....as there was no fresh fish left for lunch.......which was a pity.
