“Definitely a must if you're in Samui!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 November 2013

Just saw this among the things to do on TripAdvisor and it did not disappoint! It can be a bit hard to find if you plan on going there yourself since there are no major signs towards it and you will have to get into the inside streets but it's definitely worth the trip! My boyfriend and I decided to explore the island on a motorbike (rented from our hotel at THB 300/day, petrol full tank at THB 170 -- more than enough for at least 2-3 days!) and we definitely enjoyed our ride going to the top of the mountain, with barely anyone - no houses, cars along the way - only breathtaking views!

Treetop Tour is managed by a family. You get to zip through 700meters of cable through the forest for about THB 1300 each (USD 40+). Your stuff will be put inside a box/trunk with a lock and key. They will be training you at first on what you should and shouldn't do and after you will be brought to the first station where the staff will accompany you and zip through the cables with you (separately!) to assist you at every station.

Truly worth it! After our adventure, we were greeted with plates of fresh fruits, snacks and water.

One of the most amazing and genuine families we've ever met! We are planning on going back there again and just spending time with them!

“High fliers”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 October 2013

Indeed, why trek through a jungle when you could zip around from canopy to canopy? We were picked up from our hotel in a converted 4WD pick up truck and brought deep inland, where we were grouped together with a couple families (apparently family friends) from Aus. From the base shack where we exchanged bags for harnesses and gloves, it was a short walk to the starting platform where we were given an introduction to flying fox operation. The first few zip lines were short and had a small gradient, which was fine for us beginners, but they gradually become longer and steeper (faster). Some spans have a very long drop below, but if anyone had a fear of heights, they were too busy having fun to notice. Refreshments (including beer) can be bought at the base shack after the adventure, or take a dip in the nearby rock pools to cool off.

“Thouroughly enjoyable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 August 2013

Went here a few years ago, our group had a pact that one of us per day had to come up with an activity for the group that had to cost less than $50 Au, get the group there and back or buy drinks for everyone for the day (an attempt to keep us out of the cheap bars.. it worked actually).
We were picked up from the tourist center around the corner from our hotel in open topped utility, kinda fun with the wind in our hair. Arrived at the site and a short hike up the mountain. A safety lesson on harness flying fox operation and then made our way into the canopy riding flying foxes from tree to tree. Lots of fun, well maintained, safe and some good height and scenery (inclusive wildlife). The journey ends with a great water fall for a swim and cool off. Delivered back to original pick up point.
A good day out for teenagers plus.
Non alcoholic beverages and ice creams available for purchase (if I remember correctly).
Had a great time, many thanks to the operators.
