“Worth a visit!”
Reviewed 17 August 2014

Seeing the well preserved mummified monk was really interesting. You can even see hair on his head. He is kept in an upright position in a glass box and is wearing sunglasses because his eyes dried out.
The visit takes maximum 30 minutes to see the monk and Wat Khunaram temple and to take enough pictures.

“Weird but wonderful”
Reviewed 7 August 2014 via mobile

Went here as part of an island tour and have to admit I found it fascinating. Worth a quick visit out of curiosity alone. It's a shame they've put sunglasses on him to cover his missing eyes as I felt that kind of ruined it. Made it in a small way funny which isn't the point of the exhibition

“Very interesting, but just a quick visit though”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

We stopped by Wat Khunaram to see the Mummified Monk as part of an island day trip. As there is nothing else around to see it's best to try and fit it in with an organized trip, and most operators offer this as a stop on their day trips. It is very interesting and educational once you hear the full story from your guide or read the plaque outside, or just google some info beforehand. The monk has been placed in a glass box, and it is a bit weird seeing his remains, even weirder is the fact that they have placed sunglasses on him in order to not freak out visitors because of his eyes that have dried out in their sockets, it just looks wrong.

“stop by if you're driving by”
Reviewed 18 July 2014

The monk is in a glass case. It's sort of cool to look at, yet creepy at the same time. Be aware it's a temple, and locals are also praying there. There is nothing else here soI would stop by for 5 minutes if I'm driving by.
