Simply the best holiday from the frantic to the calm from the streets to the beach some thing for every one the warmth of the Thai people is outstanding having travelled in Europe this knocks spots off any thing before would recommend a visit to the Wave Bar in Chaweng the English guys that run the bar are a mine of information and the food is excellent to .

“Beautiful experience”
Reviewed 3 September 2008

I visited the island last month, in its peak season, and was impressed with what it has to offer. From the arrival at the cute lovely airport, to the towns and the beaches, it was all a very good experience. The Big Buddha is a must see as is an evening in the Fisherman's village and the nearby night market. the restaurants along the beach have a fantastic selection of fresh fish. I personally prefer the relaxed atmosphere of the Bophut Bay to Chaweng, but Chaweng offers a wider choice and certainly many more things to do.

“Scuba Diving Open Water”
Reviewed 17 August 2008

Koh Samui is a such beautiful place to unwind. My journey to being a certified diver was fun and relaxing. Although i almost got lost with the sharks on my last day at Chumpone Pinnacle, it was an unforgetable experience- if u just got your PADI like me and chose to go on a fun dive, make sure u follow your dive master no matter what happens... if not u'd be lost!

You can visit my experience here

I must say as a person who tried out traveling alone for the very first time, Koh Samui is really safe. Just make sure u don't go out too late at night if u have to come back alone in a taxi, just in case something happens!

“Ark Bar, Full Moon Party, Koh Samui, Chaweng Beach”
Reviewed 4 August 2008

Just come back from 3 week trip including bangkok, Pataya, and Koh Samui. Were meant to go Puket on way home but stayed on Chaweng beach in koh samui because the place is class. Moved into Ark bar rooms as we spent most nights there and the rooms where spot on, air con, fridge, clean, cheap etc etc. The evenings there are awesome, great beach parties on wednesday night, speakers on the beach loungers on the beach, party on the beach, enough said. The British manager Lee is a sound geeza and plays a good host. The tunes are great there too, buy a CD, I did. Food there is v good aswell. Missing the Ark parties.... cheers Lee.

Ark shuts at 2am (woud have spent the whole evening there some nights if it was open a bit later). Soul cafe, green mango, and solo club (round the corner from solo bar) are the later clubs, soul cafe is the best in our opinion if you like hip hop/r'n'b, shuts at 3, mango at 4 (next door), then solo club till the early hours, inever lasted past 7am so not sure what time it shuts!?!?!?

If your coming here on hol make sure you come when the full moon party is on, on koh phagnan, one of the best parties ive ever been to and will be 100% be attending one again at some point. 70,000 people on a beach going nuts with fire, vodka, sea, body paint, absolute carnage but incredible. Full moon party happens once a month so check the lunar calender. we went to July's and loved it. Came home minus a top, flip flops, camera and with a tattoo (of a moon lol). dont regret any of it!!!!!

have fun, we did!!! Matt Price, Birmingham, UK
