We have been here before and wanted to return because we had such a great experience. We were collected at our hotel (with the offer of a return journey but we had some shopping to do). Two of us had the set dinner menu which was fantastic value, only 650 baht (around £12-13) for 5 courses. One of the courses were sauted prawns and were absolutely delicious, however the main course was pork medallions, the potatoes and vegetables were great but unfortunately the pork (which was cooked table side) was not great, quite tasteless even though it was in a sauce. One of us had a steak however which he said was lovely. The other one had fish was was also good. We finished off with some liqueurs and liqueur coffees and we will definitely be back next time we are in Pattaya

Casa Pascal is a nice, quiet restaurant just off 2nd road opposite Marriott Resort. The restaurant's interiors and decoration and table setting are stylishly appropriate for the fine dining experience they advertise. Nevertheless, I felt it was a little bit too formal and stiff at times, which resulted in a bit awkward dinner service. A more casual atmosphere would probably have relaxed the staff a bit and made it more natural. As for food, the appetizer (prawns in garlic butter) and soup (pumpkin) were quite good. The main (pork medallions with cognac sauce) was so-so, the meat a bit chewy. This probably a result of letting the staff prepare the meal at our table. Perhaps it would have been better to allow the chef to cook this to perfection instead of putting on the show? Dessert was unfortunately also average I would say. Price-wise a bit on the high side, especially compared to some French restaurants in Bangkok. But for a tourist used to paying the prices of their respective home countries I expect it wouldn't be too bad. In summary, the emphasis on formality and ritual probably killed some of the enjoyment for me.

I have eaten at Pascal several times. Food and atmosphere has always been outstanding. The Fish packed in rock salt is one of my favourites. This time I started with the Onion Soup (excellent). Then to change from my usual, I asked the waitress for suggestions. After an extensive wait, she brought me another fish dish. Grouper? I'm not positive. But it was dry and poorly executed. The condiments were also rather tasteless. One of my friends had a steak which he thought was excellent. My other friend also had a fish dish that was disappointing. So Pascal has slid a bit down my list but perhaps one night I shall return.

First of all, thank you for being a loyal guest at Casa Pascal. We appreciate your repeat visits, as this is the highest compliment for a restaurant. We also appreciate your time to provide feedback about your last visit, which wasn’t up to your expectations.

Our staff certainly remembers you dining with us. While we are glad you enjoyed the onion soup and your friend liked the rib-eye, we only wish you mentioned your disappointment with your grouper and your other friend's black cod that evening. We would have gladly fixed any issue then. All of us at Casa Pascal do hope you will return. When you do, please let Pascal know and he will personally ensure your visit is a 5 star experience again.

On a recommendation form a local food site, I tried Casa Pascal for the buffet breakfast. 195 baht (then, new for Pattaya, add 7% VAT).

Nice outdoor BBQ section to make eggs. The variety was limited. The best probably was the bread. Obviously, very fresh and baked that day. Free soda fountain. That is probably the one and only one I have even seen in Thailand. Standard in the U.S., but not in Thailand. One can of soda, want more, another charge.

Some Thai food and nice large coffee mugs. Nice setting. Very comfortable.

They have a rewards program. I think like 10 breakfasts and the next one is free (I think).

Nice good breakfast to start the day.
