We chose to stay at the hotel as it was smaller in size (only 50/60 rooms), in a good location. Good value for money as well.
The rooms are very spacious (we were upgraded to a suite room - Accor Gold) - great beds, comfortable couches, well appointed bathrooms and good amenities (including coffee pod machine in room). Very funky / new design with high quality appointments.
The pool (in the shape of a Baracuda) - good sized, ample room and chairs, gets good sun during the day - only problem is that staff aren't really around the pool, so it can be a bit of a challenge to get a drink.
Breakfast is off an a-la-carte menu, which has good variety. Staff tend to be over attentive and want to do absolutely everything for you (e.g., down to pouring orange juice for you), while this is nice, it means that the staff are stretched and things take longer that they should or are glossed over or done incorrectly (e.g., missing items from an order). Would be better to just focus on one thing and execute that.
Restaurant (and bar) is fairly good as well, on the pricier side given the options in the vicinity.
Staff, generally, are very friendly and helpful across all aspects. We did experience an issue with one of the housekeeping staff, but management sought to investigate this and did so promptly. Very personalised for the most part - although there are a couple of staff that struggle with English, so some lessons may be in order.
Gym is basic at best, and would be a good area to improve on as the refurbishment continues to take place.
WiFi is frustrating (both in terms of being able to sustain a connection and speed of use).
Hotel was very quiet during our stay - which meant a greater level of attention to us.
Overall, good, but not great - just doesn't quite execute well enough (though this is not for a lack of effort). I'd likely stay again, but won't be racing back.
