We booked 3 rooms here for 5 nights.
Upon arrival it seemed fine, a welcome drink and smiles upon check in, however 2 of our rooms weren’t ready due to late check outs? The time was 2-15pm, surely they should have been ready, especially with an 11 month old baby. We decided to go eat at the Sea restaurant, which is very over priced - but we used the Eatigo app to get 50% discount on food. After a short while the receptionist came to us to inform us the rooms were ready.
The rooms are so dated and need some TLC, marks everywhere and the rooms smelt of a musky damp.
Even touching the desk or the cupboards felt dirty and sticky.
After a complaint to reception, they offered us another room as we feared for our baby’s health with the damp, but they offered us a room that had been smoked in, and their answer was ‘the old customer smoked here in the room but we charged him for doing so’ this is not acceptable again - why give us a damp smelling room then say we can have a smoke smelling room?
The lady named Gif Gaff was very understanding with our concerns and took a torrent of abuse from me regarding the welfare of my baby.
Finally we decided enough was enough, we decided to check out and get a refund - which we are in the process of getting.
If it was not for Gif Gaff and how she handled the situation I would have seriously lost my head. Thank you Gif Gaff you are a credit to the hospitality industry.
Also there is no way this is a 5 star hotel as advertised. Maybe a 3-4 star. Impossible to be a 5 star, we are staying now at the Avani Pattaya and this is a 5star, maybe your owners should come and see what a 5 star looks like. Not just charge 5 star prices for dated, damp smelling rooms.🤬🤬🤬🤬
