I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Pattaya 5 or 6 times since it opened several years ago and it is still a hotel at which I look forward to staying.
The rooms are bright and modern and all enjoy good sea views. The last time I stayed here, I found it a little noisy at night,. This time, I asked for a room facing North. Still a sea view, less spectacular, but quieter!
The staff here are really good all round. I don't always do hotel buffet breakfasts, but this one is delightful, with many healthy choices and a nice environment both inside and out. The staff coped admirably in the midst of the busy Chinese New Year. The cafe on the ground floor is also really good.
The pool area is relaxing, with sea views and the gym is decent for a hotel.

Room Tip: All rooms have a sea view. Those facing south have a more spectacular view, but rooms facing North a...

Stayed here for ten days in January on a business trip, very nice rooms and a lovely pool area with an infinity pool.I've stayed in a few hotels in Pattaya and I like the location of this one, close enough to the action but reasonably quiet in comparison to the Hilton for example.Great breakfast buffet and drinks by the pool. The hotel bar is also very nice if a little expensive but the band who play there are an excellent way to kill a few hours.Location means that you will do a lot of walking unless you are willing to use the Baht buses,I do so no problem.

Overall a very nice hotel with everything you would expect for a business traveller.

By the way my wife was with me on this trip and we went to Koh Larn at the weekend,if you are in Pattaya and want a break from the noise and bustle its a great little escape.

Dear PW28603
Thank you for choosing to recently stay at Holiday Inn Pattaya. As you say, Holiday Inn Pattaya is located at the northern end of the beach which allows for guests to escape the busier part of town yet close enough that you can either walk or catch the Baht Bus (a fun way to get around!).
Havana Bar & Terrazzo Restaurant, located beach front on the ground floor offers live entertainment six nights per week and a great way to relax at anytime of the day.
Thank you again for sharing your insights and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.
Kind regards

Airport Pick up:

We requested for an Airport Pick up and for 4 people with about 5 pcs of luggage it costed us about 3500 Thai Baht or about 120 USD for a 86 Kms trip from Suvrnabhumi International airport to Pattaya. We were picked up without any hassle and the drive was smooth as silk.

Location:

Located on one quite end of the beach road of Pattaya Holiday Inn is a very good hotel for visitors with a 4* budget. The Beach is just across the road crowded and not very clean though.

The Hotel:

The hotel has a swimming pool, gymnasium, 3 or 4 restaurants. Staff are friendly and courteous

Reception:

The reception was big with the whole ground floor dedicated to it with good sitting areas with free Wifi connectivity. The Front office was manned with people who could speak some English so we did not have problems communicating with them. The concierge was efficient and very helpful in dishing out info abt the places to visit, how to travel, the cost of travelling, making arrangements if required, Special note of thanks to Mr for his excellent help. The check in was smooth and quick they allocated rooms of the 10th floor( I did notice that the westerners were allocated rooms on the higher floors with better views of the ocean for whatever reasons).

Rooms:

The rooms were smaller( may be 12X12) with balcony overlooking the ocean. The beds were neat and clean and mattress, bed covers and blankets were of good quality. The wash rooms were good with all the necessary things in place. the only discomfort was the shower area was small and Big sized people would probably have some discomfort towelling themselves. As an Indian I only wished there were water sprays available to wash up after using the WC.

Food:

The break fast was well laid out and the spread was good. It was too limited for a vegetarian but there were plenty of fruits and breads, juices so cant complain much. The problem for us came for lunch and dinner as there were very very very limited vegetarian dishes available.

Check out:

The check out was again very smooth and quick.

All in all a good & relaxing place worth the money.

Room Tip: Ask for a rooms on the higher floors to avoid the noise from the roaring boat engines that start off...

Dear Viceroy4
Thank you for taking the time to post a review after your recent stay. We sincerely appreciate the feedback on all aspects of your stay. We note that you enjoyed the guest service provided in the hotel across all our outlets and most especially from the concierge team. We also note your areas for consideration being lack of vegetarian options and our room configuration. We most definitely consider all feedback as we strive to improve on the service and product we offer.
We hope to have an opportunity to welcome you back again in the future.

I've stayed here around 3 times now. Still maintaining standards you would expect from a global chain hotel. Breakfast is missing good sausages and bacon which seems a common trait in most hotels in Asia. Prices are at the high end of the market for drinks and food. There is no free wifi in the rooms free wifi is only available in the lobby area. Other than that not real issues with this place would stay there again.

We were at the Holiday Inn for two nights from the 14th Dec to the 16th Dec and had booked 4 Ocean View Rooms on the higher floor. I had booked this hotel after doing a lot of reasearch online and i should say that we had a wonderful time here. Right from the beginning , the reception staff was very warm and friendly. We reached the hotel at about 11 am and although the check-in time being 2pm, they were kind enough to let us have 2 rooms at around 12pm as we were really tired from the flight the previous night. They also gave us one room free upgrade to the next category which was wonderful.

Talking about the hotel, the location of the Hotel is just fantastic. Its right on the beach and you have lovely views from most rooms. I would highly recommend you to choose the higher floor rooms although it comes at the slight premium as the view from up there is simply beautiful. The rooms are of a good size and well maintained.

We had opted for the breakfast inclusive package and it was well worth it with a good spread although being in thailand , you would expect that it would be dominated by Thai Food. But still we had enough to choose from .

They also have a well equipped and well managed kids activity club which was nice and my 5 yr old daughter had a great time. They have different charges for different activities starting from 150THB which i thought was great value for money.

All in all we had a great time and i am trying hard to find something negative to write about just for the sake of being objective. Maybe the Price...i feel it should have been slightly cheaper .But not a deal breaker and i would defintely like to return.Highly recommended!!

Room Tip: Choose a Higher Floor Room.Definetly worth it!!

This is my second visit to this hotel and really enjoyed the stay. Spacious, naturally illuminated rooms and very neat & clean. The staff over here is very courteous which goes with the Thai culture. Room comes with lot of complimentary like internet, 2 pieces of laundry etc. Ideally localted across the beach but not much croweded. Very good spread of buffet.

Room Tip: rooms towards the beach side offers a very good view.

I was really impressed with their reception. My room had beautiful sea view. Night view is awesome. You can spend your evening in the balcony with a cup of coffee. Food in the restaurant has variety. You can go to the beach at any point of time within a minute.

Room Tip: Take a room with sea view
