This's a hugh safari theme hotel with a very fun water theme park. I stayed with my family with two young daughters. The girls really enjoy the water park. They played in the water and slider all day long. I got the beach front room and the view from the room was terrific. Breakfast was good but the buffet dining was so-so. Room was very nice and well equipped with flat screen TV, DVD player, see-thru bathroom. However, the WIFI was not work as advertised. I had to use their business center instead. The staffs are really nice and helpful.

Recently spent 5 days at this hotel. I would go back for the following reasons:
1. Excellent gym with brand new equipment and supportive staff
2.Brilliant lazy river and swimming pool
3.OK beach for Pattaya (which is not renowned for its beaches), but certainly can't compare to the Caribbean
4. All rooms have stunning sea views
5.Comfortable and clean bedrooms
6.A far wider selection of english speaking tv channels (not only the usual BBC World and CNN).
7. Far enough from the drama of Pattaya City but within easy reach (10 minute ride).
8. Newest hotel in Pattaya
Things that I did not like:
1. Premium deluxe room did not have a bath, only a rain shower (come on, it's supposed to be a 5 star hotel). Club Mirage room (had a narrow council-house looking bath and certainly was not worth the money for the upgrade).
2. Staff (excepting Nirana who works at the gym) generally had a poor grasp of English.
3. For an Asian hotel breakfast was boring with little variety..cereals limited to oats and cocopops and you will struggle to get a decent omelette. Stir fries were greasy and unremarkable.
4.Everything was grossly overpriced. Breakfast cost about £12 per person; a bottle of water by the poolside was nearly £3 (your bedroom gets daily complimentary bottles) and getting a taxi from the concierge cost 3 times over.

Tips if you are going:
1.Don't take private hotel or taxi transfers from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Pattaya because you'll get overcharged (about £30-40 per person). We took an airconditioned coach with comfotable seats and safe driving for a mere 124 Baht per person (just over £2). The coach company is called Roongreuang Coach Company located outside gate 8 at arrivals on the 1st floor. You can see their details at www.airportpattayabus.com. Of course your hotel staff may choose (quite conveniently) not to know anything about the service because it undermines their private taxi connections.
2. When in Pattaya take public taxis which are pick-up vans with a roof and seating at the back; fares start at 20 Baht to get from Centara to Pattaya City.
3. Avoid buying hotel food. You can buy delicously preparded cooked lunches from the cook-shops dotted along the beach. We ate at one run by a Thai lady called 'Is' who speaks good English and gives really good no-nonse masages.
4. In Pattaya City try the Wave International Restaurunt located on the third floor of the Royal Thai Garden Plaza. They offer Vietnamese, Indian, Chinese, thai, Italian and Japanese cuisine at reasonable prices (about 300 Baht (£6) per person including freshly made fruit juices) in a comfortable indoor and outdoor surroundings overlooking the bay.
5. Yes there is a Tescos! They do really good pastry like coconut bread and a variety of good fruit juices.
6. If you are flying with Qatar Airways and have a layover in Doha longer than 3 hours use the Oryx lounge; it's worth the £24 per person. You can buy from Qatar Airways Customer Services desk.
7.Take your US$ or £s to Thailand; the exchange rate at the cambios are better than in the UK
8.Pattaya has great nightlife, but be sensible!

This will be amazing when finished the hotel and rooms are furnished to a very high standard, although I am not sure what the difference is apart from price of a delux, delux sea veiw (as they all face the sea) family or family delux as they all appeared to be the same. There was still quite a lot of work going on while we were there and not all areas of the hotel or lazy river were fully opened. Ginger and Lime Restaurant the food and service was amazing , only complaint was there was no air con so it was very hot and stuffy. Breakfast was a hit or a miss depending on how busy it was , if it was busy then it was pretty rough, it seemed to be very busy over the weekend with families and there appeared to be a lot more going on. The hotel at night was dead as everyone seemed to go out, perhaps because it was so much more expensive within the hotel, but then it is 5 star so you get what you pay for. Take lots of repelent, I have never seen so many mosquitoes, housekeeping was a little hap hazard but nothing to complain about unless you want to be hyper critical. Beach disapointing as not podery white sand as advertised more shingle and the sea unlike other parts of Thailand I have been to was not clear but cloudy. The staff although lovely and very helpfull and friendly are deperatley in need of some more training. All in all a lovely hotel which come time im sure will be great. I think they just opened way before they were ready.
