“Great rooms, good pool and late breakfasts”
Reviewed 27 June 2013

We live in Thailand and travel to Pattaya from time to time for shopping. August Suites used to be our hotel of choice as it is central, but you're not on a noisy main road. We haven't been for a while because each time we call they try to palm us off on their newer and not as nice sister hotel, April Suites. We think this is because we only book for 1 or 2 nights on quick visits, and they may want longer stays. The best option is to use Agoda or other online booking engines where you can still get short stays, and at the same price as direct bookings.

The hotel has a very friendly front of house manager, Paul who goes out of his way to help you.

The rooms are stylish with lovely large ceramic floor tiles, huge bed, light paint and dark wood. I like the modern idea that the shower is not over the bath, but a separate large space, with a step inside for women.

The room has one of the largest fridges I've ever seen in any hotel room, but it's sole purpose, apart from any goodies you may add, are 2 bottles of water? Seems such a waste and very environment unfriendly.

It is fantastic to be able to have breakfast any time up until 12 noon and not have to rush if you don't want to. There's a well enough equipped gym, but I've never been able to work out how to use the saunas.

Downsides are that the swimming pool only opens at 8am, and closes at 7pm. Too early. Also it is quite disconcerting to see the Thai ladies of the night (and day) parading through the lobby on the arms of foreign tourists off to the rooms.

The hotel doesn't have a full restaurant, which is a good business idea given the many options in Pattaya. But just around the corner from the hotel is a "food hall" with many different cooks and a central seating area. You can also get the best mango and sticky rice from 2 outlets. Delicious!

This is an excellent hotel which i would recommend to all my friends. Location of this hotel is perfect (1 mins walk to Tops supermarket and 8 mins walk to Central Festival Plaza) and the price is good.
We book 2 rooms and one room was free upgraded to executive suite. The executive suite is extremely large with a large living room, a bedroom with 1 extra king size bed and 1 queen size bed.
The service in August Suites is wonderful. Paul (who should be the manager in charge this hotel) is very helpful. He provided a lot of extra service such as call up the restaurant and arrange logistic. All the staffs in this hotel are very nice.
This is a hotel i definitely will return back.

The August Suites are located discretly 50 metres from the second road junction to the Beach road and offers basically two types of rooms; a spacy DBL or 2 times DBL suite all new 3 years ago and nicly furnished. The location offer access to All Pattaya within 10 minutes walking distance to either Soi 1 or Soi 14. The lobby is huge for unknow reasons, the included breakfast is ok offering 3 types of eggs options with toast. If you had enough of Pattay's 24/7 life, just relax in the outdoor pool area on second floor and you will hear the birds singing and the nearly silent footsteps of the staff bringing you refrehments or a bite. The hotel has grown very popular and are next to fully booked year round. Note the huge price variations between winter and summer seasons.

Room Tip: Go for a suite with pool view in the summer season.

I find this property to be a very good value, though you can find better by going a little farther east on Central. It’s located very close (18 meters or 20 years) to the intersection of 2nd Road and Central, which if you walk due west for 5 minutes you’ll be at the beach.

The property has good security and is centrally located in Pattaya as the name of the road suggests. On the corner of 2nd & Central is Best Supermarket if you’re looking for spirits, sundries, etc. The opposite way offers street markets and a 7/11 with a 2 minute walk.

This property started with only August Suites but has since expanded—I think the other rooms are more expensive. Management and staff are friendly and seem to go out of their way to accommodate requests (the few times I stayed, David was the manager and he was great).

I didn’t have a reservation the first couple stays and was able to negotiate a slightly better rate at the desk. This is a common approach I use in Pattaya as there are so many hotels I never know exactly where I want to stay.

Room Tip: Get a motobike, but don't pay more than 150 bht per day. I rent mine on Soi Buakaow for 100/day...

Stayed at August Suites for 8 weeks (February/April 2013).

A delightful experience. Staff, led by Paul, are courteous and efficient. The hotel is spacious and well ventilated. The bedrooms are huge, possibly to accommodate the enormous beds. I found the whole place to be spotless.

Only downside is the presence of some sort of nightclub which can be noisy until about 2am. I became word-perfect in 'Titanic' and the Rod Stewart duet with Aime Bowe. But this only affects the non-pool facing bedrooms and I managed to slep through most of it..

Room Tip: Try to stay on the pool-side to avoid nightclub noise.

I stay in your property for the period in 25-27 March for two nights. I travelled with my friends with total 9 persons with 5 rooms. I would like to let you know that we received a wonderful welcome at reception from Paul. The only potentially slightly negative even during our stay as I found my bed sheet has manner dirt on it twice and problem retrieved after informed the receptionist. Also, the waiting time for the breakfast is too long and the orders were wrong for some of us during our stay. We didn’t report as we understand maybe hotel are busy with all our breakfast at the same time as we found only a few server at the restaurant. Anyway, spacious room, nice pool and thanked Paul for listening my comments upon check-out and hope improvement next time when return as you said. Cheers! Thank you!

Room Tip: Hope u can meet Paul there. He is nice and willing to assist with wt u need:)
