“rooms, beach and more!”
Reviewed 9 April 2010

the good part:

Me and my buds loved the rooms,we booked for a deluxe room, we were really surprised with the view we had from our balcony! Superb! first of all we loved the cozy and bright theme of the rooms, it was just fantastic! We felt like we are really welcomed in the hotel during our arrival, though it was weird that a Thai staff did not welcome us (hello, this is Thailand, lol), the Philipine staff assisted us all the time (good job) till we get to the room (whew, at least I know someone will understand us, lol) ,We loved the service of the staffs, we received smiles from almost everyone!

the not-so-good part:

Our rooms were too small, everything was squeezed up, the balcony was like not part of the room plan (it was really small)! the beach seats were almost occupied the whole time, we can not even find a spare seat for us.And I almost forgot, there were too many Russians in the hotel!

From check in to check out we had a great time at this hotel. The staff couldn't do enough for you. We booked a Club Room and enjoyed the benefits of sunset lounge for drinks & canapes, full breakfast in separate area, 4 pieces of laundry per day & lovely room with sea view. The pool area is really nice and the only problem was the usual ongoing debate of reserved sunbeds when no one uses them for hours, maybe policy should be that if no one uses the bed for longer than 1 hour, towels are removed. More sunbeds would be useful instead of the comfy pool bar seating. That said, the pool area attendants always managed to find us either deck chairs or sunbeds after a short time. Nice touches during the afternoon were the chilled face towels and sliced fruit that was offered free to the guests, also a few times there was a small bbq on the beach. We liked the location of the hotel as it was just far enough away from the hustle & bustle of the main centre and Baht buses were fairly cheap. We passed some of the hotels nearer the centre and the traffic noise and smells were pretty bad so we were glad we chose our hotel which was very peaceful and had a fairly nice stretch of beach.

Hotel has been changed to a Pullman recently and tries very hard to be a 4-5 star resort and succeeds in most areas. You are welcomed and treated like a 5 star on arrival with lots of people to make sure you are in your room quickly.
Rooms are nice, but don't like the open bathroom (to the bedroom) concept, also the shower isn't enclosed and the towels kept getting wet. Not enough draw space. Very high tech with control console for lights A/C etc. Beautiful views, like a postcard.
Pools and spa areas are beautiful as are the grounds. One problem that others have mentioned is getting a chair around the pool or beach as they are all taken before 8:00 with guests putting towels etc., on the them so they are held. Sometime they are not used all day and they show up at 6:00PM for sunset. Hotel has to come up with a rule about saving chairs when not in use, we heard many complaints about this.
Also, the hotel has a shuttle bus (the hotel is about an 30+ minute walk to the north end of Beach Rd) but is only used every 2 hours starting at 10:00AM and holds 10 people. Needs to run much more often given the location.
Restuarant and other amenities are all top notch.
Room wasn't cleaned as well as expected for this type of hotel, e.g. hair on floor was there for 3 days.
All that said, we had a great time and really enjoyed our stay with very nice and attentive people at the front desk and those running the pool and spa areas.
The 'rack rate' was about 3 times higher than what we got online, so shop around.

This hotel is a wonderful place to stay the furnishings are top class, with a bedside remote control which controls everything from lighting to the TV. The staff are all exceptionally helpful and always polite. there are two great swimming pools and a small private beach area. Only small issue was the nuisance of flies around the alfresco breakfast; They also (apparently in keeping with many hotels) charge 1000 baht to bring a girl back; If you dont know what this means dont worry (you probably do though) an exqisite hotel highly recommended

Staff at the Hotel just could not do enough for you. Excellent service all round. Large luxurious rooms, most comfy bed I've ever slept in! Lovely pool area leading down onto private sandy beach. Don't expect crystal clear water, sea was cloudy. Hotel situated where you can get away from the hussle & bussle & seediness of Pattaya. Beautiful Hotel, shame it's in Pattaya.

I recently stayed at the new Pullman Aisawan in Pattaya and what an experience. From the minute we arrived it was smooth sailing – lovely greeting at the door, taken to the Sunset check in (like an Executive Club Floor), taken up to our room. We had a suite which considering everything that came with it was incredible value. Next day we were directed to the Sunset Lounge - outside of the main hotel and up high above the restaurant. Great views across the ocean and some delicious Eggs Benedict! After finishing some business my partner and I lazed on the private beach, swam and generally relaxed. Back to the Sunset Club for cocktails and then out to see Pattaya at night. Pattaya nightlife is not my idea of fun but staying at the Pullman you could be miles away from the sleazier side of Pattaya and yet it is five minutes in a taxi. Saturday finished with a fab spa experience......

All in all it was two days of heaven away from busy bustling Bangkok where we live and just one and half hours drive away. We will be back!

Well, we arrived, and checked a suite that smelled very badly of cigarette smoke. As it turned out, only 2 of the 12 floors are smoke free. We tried to change to another room, but being a public holiday, the resort was full. The ony option was to downgrade to a standard room, which was always going to be difficult with a baby and a toddler in tow.
What can I say? We expected better after Pullman had taken over the management. There had been no renovation so the hotel was showing it's age. Within the first hour the bathroom door handle came off in my hand and the towel rack fell off the wall.
Other points to mention: The hotel only has 2 lifts so you could wait an age for a lift.
I will say that the breakfast was fantastic with the only genuinely crispy bacon I have encountered in 20 years in Asia and the scrambled eggs were like home made. Coffee was also excellent.
