“Smokers den”
Reviewed 13 June 2014

Only problem is smoking is allowed indoors and at the food tables, yes food and service is very good, but who wants to seat eating whist someone blows smoke their way? The bar and facilities are very much up to scratch.

This really is like a little slice of England. Traditional English pub inside. Very clean, great menu choices and food very good with reasonable prices. The menu is varied serving everything from a full English breakfast to Steaks and Thai Food. They even have cider and Guinness on draught.

Was only in town a few days this trip so friend suggested Staying at the butchers arms I normally don't stay if there is no pool and at least 4 stars ... This place should have 4 stars the staff the owner all are very welcoming and are always there to help and guide you so you can get the best out of this mad town. The food is stunning even the English food is good but why eat English when there is such a choice of Thai food available. The rooms are spacious clean and all the mod cons you need. This will now become my base for many more trips to come. I have seen the pictures of dirty room but I could not find any dirt ... If your looking for a happy welcome friendly base in perfect location stay here ....!!!

One of the plethera of English pubs in Pattaya - this one had the best food we found on this trip. Service was excellent, the A/C was inviting and the food was good. Fish & chips, roast beef dinner et al.

Freshly made food served quickly in a convivial atmosphere.

Would go back no problem.

I booked this hotel because of the good reviews in here, but was totally disappointed (photos attached). Maybe I just had the one awful room (#14), and I am not on the sensitive side, but offering such a wreck of a room to a customer speaks to itself, I think. NO idea where the good reviews come from.

Let's start with the pros (to be honest): Fast Internet

Let's continue with the cons: Musty smell, when entering the room, aircon filter extremly dirty (yuck), had to wash it out in the shower, aircon working but quite noisy, paint falls of the wall, stains and cracks all over the walls, not to speak of black mold in room as well as shower, spring mattress extremly worn out (lying in the middle of the bed automatically means rolling left or right due t means automatically o gravity) and you could feel every single spring, toilet seat falls off, no toilet paper, no toiletries, not even a piece of soap, smelly towels, dirty sink in the shower, plastic cover on the chair (no idea, if that was to avoid more dirt on the seat or getting trowsers dirty when sitting there), electric safety box closed and even after opening not working, after some back an forth I got the safety key, but it was mounted on the floor so you had to get on your knees to open it. Oh, one more: don't move any furniture or look below, you will find lots of dirt.......

I don't know why I stayed for 1 night at all, maybe because after 18 hours of travel and arriving in the hot afternoon I just wanted to have a shower and lay down for a nap, but I spent the evening to look for another hotel (and got lucky, review to follow) and fled that place the next morning. Paid 850 Baht for the dump.

In my humble opinion: Avoid, as there are plenty of better places around for the same price.

Also to mention: 65 stairs up to the room (would have been ok for me, but maybe not for everyone), waitress / receptionist (you get you key at the bar counter) tried to help me out as much as she could with the safe and the Internet....

Room Tip: I can only recommend to avoid that hotel, as there are plenty of better choices right next door

Stopped in on Soi Bukow for a 1100am breakfast. 340 baht ($11) for a full (and rather large) English breakfast. I thought for Thailand this was rather expensive. Good breakfast, nice pub atmosphere, but breakfast can be allot less in this city.
