“Great Western Food with a personal touch”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

Varied menu, tasty ingredients, remarkable value. Very friendly, family run restaurant with the owner personally greeting each guest. Good daily set menu and flexibility to mix and match on the a la carte menu.
Service has been slow in the past, but much improved now that new staff have been employed. However the small kitchen means this is not an ideal place for large groups.
If you value relaxed open fronted restaurants (copious numbers of fans) this is must try. Always with a diverse and soothing musical sound track to accompany a good glass of wine.

“Good food, fair prices”
Reviewed 4 October 2013

This was our third visit, the first being when the owner also had Alois restaurant as well and the food was great...better than Alois (now closed). The second time was so/so and then we went for a third visit....One thing you have to accept is that service is slow because of only one chef and the owner, Vithia, is the waiter as well. BUT the food is well worth waiting for and does that wait really matter when you are with a group of friends and the evening is yours. There is a basket of bread and butter on the table and your drinks order will arrive quite promptly. I went, like most of our party for the set menu at 290 baht and chose the Shrimps "Rosa" with fruit salad, followed by the Roasted Pork Tenderloin wrapped with bacon served with sauted potato, vegetable and onion sauce. The only desert is a selection of ice cream. The shrimp rosa was great the combination of the two flavours was remarkable. My pork was delicious, again well cooked and full of flavour. Two other folk had the grilled chicken breast stuffed with cheddar and mushroom; again a very good choice. Another had the a la carte choice of chicken breast with a spinach mousse and the final choice was Duck breast with a mixed salad and balsamic Vinegar dressing. These two also shared a starter of Cannelonni that took time to come as like the other dishes it was freshly cooked. It is a bit out of the way unless you live on the Naklua side of town but well worth the visit. The set menu varies from day-to-day. It is an open fronted restaurant with lots of fans.

“Good eating”
Reviewed 25 April 2013

This was the sister restaurant to Alois and I could never understand how we could have two bad meals at Alois but good meals at Louis. However Alois has now closed and you still get good meals at Louis'. A great way to share a starter is to go for the Cannelloni (150 baht) and it becomes an adequate start. I also had the lobster bisque soup 95 baht) and this was rich and tasty: followed by the pan seared duck breast with savoy cabbage parcel, roast potatoes and gravy sauce (195 baht). I suspect that the cabbage was not savoy as it was too light green and there were no "crinkly" edges. The portion of potato was small and could have been a bit more. A friend went for the pan fried chicken breast stuffed with spinach mousse plus a gratin leek-potato, vegetables and gravy red wine sauce, and said it was good. One of the ladies went for the osso boucco but said it was over salted unfortunately. There is a range of seafood dishes at 195 to 450 baht and you can try the charcoal grill at 195 to 550 baht. One waiter and what looked like one chef meant that service was slow but if you are not in a hurry it's not that important. The restaurant is open fronted with quite a lot of fans and the one drawback was the horrendous noise from the continual procession of tourist coaches down Soi 6 at the end of Soi 31. You reach the eatery either from Soi 31 off Naklua road or from Soi 6 off Pattaya Nua.

“Glad I found this restaurant”
Reviewed 2 February 2013 via mobile

If you don't mind the atmosphere, this is the place for International food in Pattaya. No airconditioning but this time of the year the weather is nice in Pattaya. I had the baked mussels and ossobucco and they both were very, very good. By looking at other tables, I must say that the portion of the food here is quite generous. But the hospitality of the owner was the winning point of this place. I will, certainly, go back on my next trip to Pattaya and try other items on the menu.
