I find it tricky to review this hotel as it was a very mixed experience. I will start with the positives :- the front desk staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful as well as the night porter and security who was always very helpful and polite. The location is pretty good allowing quick access to 2nd Road and then onto Beach Road. Baht buses run along 2nd street so getting around is very easy. They Hotel are also connected with Goldfinger massage so you can get a 20% discount which is good value and the massage team are excellent, well worth the money! There is a laundry next door to the hotel so this was pretty convenient if staying for a long period of time.

The negatives are :- the hotel is pretty run down, the rooms are very much in need of repair and a serious clean. While the cleaners do a relatively good job they actually require re-painting and repairs made. I found many things were broken in the room which did not impress me especially when they post a notice stating how much you have to pay for anything that has been damaged! The room I stayed in was 303, it was a good sized room and had a balcony but this overlooked the front of the hotel and housed two air conditioning units so it was pretty noisy much of the time, and also from the neighbouring hotel guests.

Overall I would rate this a 2 star hotel. The staff are great but the hotel requires lot of attention to bring it up to standard.

When you walk in the room, at first it looks reasonable, apart from the smell. Rooms at the back overlook another rooms window, which is only few feet away. Also rooms are dark. 2nd room we had not been cleaned at all, they made beds with dirty sheets left from previous customer, sink had hair, toothpaste and other dirt that I wouldn't want to think what it was. Showers was the same, absolutely disgusting. The smell of the room was unbelievable, we had the keep the windows open all the time, with mosquitoes around, that wasn't an easy. You can have free coffee at reception, but no tea, why? Some of the staff very helpful, other didn't care at all. There is no manager, no one running the place. Do not stay there at any cost!

Room Tip: All rooms are dirty!

The location is excellent, and the staff at the reception is very firendly, my special thanks in this respect go to Ronny from the Philippines who goes out of his way to help you to make your stay a good one.
Very bad on the other side the the room cleaning which is done not really thoroughly; the balcony is mostly ignored (you can see the dust on the railing), the sheets are not changed every day, the roll of toilet paper is replaced only when there is no paper left, you don´t get the complimentary two bottles of water every day (in case there is half a bottle left, you get only one more, used amenities are not replaced. Once I asked them to clean my room, and "one minute" were becoming 2 hours.
Although the room maids were generously (over)tipped by me, it was the worst service I have ever had, and I was in hundreds, if not more than a thousand hotels in my life.
I don´t understand why it says Boutique hotel, the rooms are spacious, but standard, the most unusual was the bathroom, where you could rest your elbow on the sink when you were sitting on the toilet.
Wifi was fast and worked without problems.

The small hotel gave a good first impression, and out deluxe room had a good size. But the bathroom was very dirty and it smelled like mould in the room and halls. The hotel does not serve breakfast until 9 am, that was a little late for us so we had to go elsewhere to get breakfast. Service in general was average, but I was a bit thrown of by getting asked to pay in the middle of my stay in stead of at check out. The room was very affordable, so you pretty much got what you paid for, and nothing more.

By the many rules at the hotel you could tell that they expected the worst from their guest. There was a complete list of what everything would cost too replaced if broken. This did not make you feel welcome.

Good location but you get what you pay for. Stayed for two nights, Rooms are small and compact, bathroom tiny, probably ok for one person but not for two if you are wanting a little bit of space. Overall not a bad hotel it's clean enough and the staff are nice, but like I said you get what you pay for.

Room Tip: No pool or fitness centre

Lets face it, at 1500thb per night your hardly going to get 5* luxury but what you do get, is a great little hotel with all the amenities you need in a really good location central enough to walk to the main places but far enough out to escape any noise.

Rooms are spacious and cleaned every day. I had a room with a balcony which was great to sit out on just before you head out. Wet room shower/toilet was just what you need and the TV had a good selection of channels, English/Thai/Russian.

The hotel is on the same block as a laundry and massage place. I tried the massage place which was really good but the laundry place was over priced so i went out and found my own.

The thing that really sets the hotel in to the "Excellent" bracket is the staff. I found them to be very helpful and always pleasant. I only planned to stay 4 nights but ended up staying 7 in total and every morning when i came down to ask for another night the staff were especially helpful to make sure i kept the same room. Maids are friendly and reception staff make you feel really welcome.

I would recommend this to anyone coming to Pattaya.

I use to stay at Royal Twins till Golden Ville opened 2 years ago. The front desk staff Ronnie is very accommodating as well as the owner.
We even had a little party with the Spa staff and it was a real drinkfest.
