I beg your pardon for my English! My husband and I spent at the Royal Cliff their honeymoon. It's just a stunning hotel! We've traveled a lot with him around the world to visit in Thailand, were also in Europe: France, Austria, Greece and Turkey, and Dubai, but in the Royal Cliff impressed us not only for its service and chic, but really friendly staff! Breakfasts were very tasty and varied, but such services with a Swedish steel I've never met! In addition to the regular room we were expecting different surprises: or delicious cakes and fruit, and the day of departure, a bouquet of orchids, which was extremely nice! When we next time we will go to Thailand, be sure to choose only the Royal Cliff!

It was a last minute decision to get out of town and celebrate the New Year in Pattaya. We booked a room here based on availability and price. I wasn’t expecting much since we were only staying for a night. But we ended up having such a great time!
Room:
8th floor, recently remodeled. The décor was modern with a little Thai influence. Clean. Large. Has a separate living room area. Lots of nature lighting. And the best part was the BREATHTAKING OCEANVIEW!!
Service:
Warm welcomes. We were accompanied to our room after checking in. (That was unexpected and well appreciated!) Helpful and knowledgeable when asked for suggestions.
Amenities:
The Hotel property itself is filled with plenty of amenities to explore that you really don’t need to venture outside the area. It was perfect for us. We were looking to just relax and enjoy the sun.
We were also told that they have a great tennis facility. Many Pro players come here during off season to train.
Highlight:
Breezeo, the beachfront restaurant on the first floor. The ambiances, food, drinks were perfect for a lazy afternoon. Recommendation: Spicy Tuna Sushi, Chicken Burrito, Baked Scallops, and the strawberry daiquiri is a must try!!
The New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner. The amazing galore of food was served buffet style. They had everything from prime rib, foie gras to nigiri. We ate, danced, ate some more, danced a little more until it was time for the fireworks. Where we were located, it allowed us to enjoy not one but three firework shows-- Royal Cliff’s, the hotel next to us, and the city’s. What an amazing way to end the night!

Thank you so much for your hospitality! I’ll be back again very soon!

We stayed in the Beach Hotel for 3 nights. The hotel was very good. It was generally clean. It was very quiet and relatively empty. Our room was on the 6th floor and it had a breathtaking sea view from the balcony, which was excellent for morning coffee and afternoon tea breaks. The private beach was great too with many water sports activities. The hotel had one relatively small swimming pool and another big and nice pool in the health club.

Its main disadvantages are:

1. It's far from the city. So we had to take taxis every time we want to go out or return. The closest attraction is 10 minutes away. Each way would cost minimum of BHT 120 depending on the destination and your negotiation skills.

2. The health club containing the big swimming pool was far from the hotel, but there was a shuttle bus taking you everywhere within the hotel.

3. Taxis were not allowed to park inside the hotel. So you had to wait some time till they order one for you or you take the shuttle bus to the main hotel gate and try to catch one from the street (bearing in mind that hotel is far from the city).

4. The A/C in the room needs days to properly cool the room. Sometimes the heat becomes unbearable.

It lacks pool bar, so you can't order drinks while swimming.

Don't take the beach bag to the beach or out of the room as they will charge you if you don't return it back to them (which we found irritating).

Yet, I will definitely stay again at this hotel should I decide to visit Pattaya again given the satisfactory experience. I highly recommend this hotel for other travelers especially couples seeking quiet and peaceful relaxation.

This must be my 3rd or 4th time to The Royal Cliff Hotels. On this occasion I stayed on the newly refurbished 8th floor of the Royal Beach Hotel.
The hotel has had many new features and even a new marble floor on the 8th. The room itself was large and spacious with a nice lounge area separated from the main bedroom. This I found an ideal location to work from. The bathrooms now have glass walls looking out onto the bedroom which makes the rooms look even larger and let the natural light flood in. My only problem was the water wasn't very hot but on mentioning this, problem solved!
I had a great view over the gulf of Siam and the new infinity pool which I had to myself before breakfast. A beautiful start to the day. Breakfast was a culinary feast from around the world and really sets you up for the day.
The weather was unusually bad during my stay but that didn't spoil my time at the hotel as there is so much to do. Just watching the storm roll in and out of the Gulf from the 8th floor is priceless.

Royal Cliff Beach Hotel at Pattaya is Great Value for Money. It is a big property with a great view. It has it's own beach with water sports. The Hotel has 3 Swimming pools and the viw from pool is breathtaking. The Rooms are good size and it also seves vegeterian meals for vegeterians. In all, a good hotel to stay in.

Firstly I must point out that I had been recommended this hotel from an elderly friend who had spent many happy stays here in the 1980’s.

On arrival to the Beach hotel (which is the oldest of the properties) my first impressions were not that great as we were met with the ugly concrete frontage of the hotel and the oil stained forecourt rather reminds you of a long service petrol station and not that of a tranquil 5 star resort hotel.

The main points to raise and possibly that need addressing by the owners are :
Damp dated carpets, the dated furniture and fittings, the concrete! Masses of concrete, The noisy and tacky breakfast area, the empty and depressed bars shops and dark coridors , the over priced drinks and snacks. The polluted and dirty beach area which actually doesn’t have a beach but a raised mass of yet more concrete.

'definatly not the 5 star resort it claims to be' a reall disappointment in Pattaya !

The hotel, at first, when walking into the lobby, give the impression of a high end establishment. Once arriving into the room, however, it was the details that made the stay fall apart. The safe that is now a standard in almost every hotel I have ever been too, was broken. The king size bed that was promised was two twin beds pushed together. The shower was a trip hazard, being slick and slippery, even with the provided shower shoes. Most of the light swtiches did not work, as well as the patio door lock. An alarm clock was not present, making a wake up call necessary if one wants to get up on time. The decor, however, was stylish and pleasing to the eye. There was no mistake that the room was clean and sanitary. The hotel boasts over 15 resturants and bars, most of them small and their selection even smaller. While eating in the resturant known as the Panarama, a small cafe style location with a very tacky panarama of fish over the windows, the noise was often bothersome. The phone was loud and could be heard across the whole resturant, often cutting a conversation short due to its annoying sound. Many of the other resturants around the hotel had the same problem. A gift shop located in the lower level was a joke, housing a small assorment of figurines and odd end clothes, staffed by three women who spent most of the time I was in there talking on their cell phones. The Royal Cliff Beach Hotel is a place for those who only care about getting a nights sleep before going back out into the city of Pattaya and are not looking for the hotel experience. I would give this hotel a 4/10, a clean hotel, but its attention to detail lacking greatly.
