Royal Cliff Beach Terrace
Ranked #40 of 457 Hotels in Pattaya
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 3 July 2007

The Royal Cliff Terrace, comprising newly-refurbished mini-suites, is just one of four superb accommodation units in this resort each with it's own unique style. The Royal Cliff Beach, Royal Cliff Grand & Spa and Royal Wing & Spa make up the other three which have 10 top class restaurants between them, with one, Panorama, open 24/7.
Everything about this resort is truly 5-star - service, decor and food quality are second to none. However, the restaurant prices are surprisingly low for us mere mortals with very affordable, everyday wines from a cellar that also boasts some of the finest
vintages.
This is a privately owned resort with continuous and high levels of investment which has earned it many professional accolades over several years. A private beach (and beach bar) on the Gulf of Thailand plus the hotel's own catamaran to transport you to the beautiful Coral island and beyond make it close to perfect.
A big plus for us, and I'm sure for many others, is that everywhere is easily accessible for wheelchair users with just a few odd steps here and there but there is always assistance readily available.
We choose to stay here in June which for Thailand is the winter, or off-season and only averages 34 C.! The hotel is quieter at this time of year but everything is fully operational as they have no staff lay-offs, partly due to the long training programme.
Getting there by scheduled Thai Airways and a private car transfer from the amazing new Bangkok airport has given us the
best holiday experience ever.

Our fourth visit and we didn't expext it could get much better this time. We were wrong. The service is beyond compare, every member of staff greets you with a smile that seems to come from the heart. Nothing is to much trouble for them.

The newly renovated rooms are a delight and enhance any stay in the Terrace. The Royal Cliff is in a class of its own. If you are going to Pattaya no other Hotel will comes even close. My Wife and I feel as if we have returned home as we walk in through the doors.

Situated just away from Pattaya's hectic night life yet its only a 10 min & £2.90p ride away in the hotel taxi, and a 100 baht (£1.50p) ride back in a Pattaya taxi(P/up).

Visit the Royal Cliff and experience the warm friendly welcome that awaits all visitors. But be warned!! Once you stay in this hotel no other will seem the same. You will be hooked.

A Truly Great Hotel , fantastic staff, & a beautiful Country. This is as close to paradise as you get.

Incidentally my wife are booking our next 3 week stay as I write this. Good luck & have a great time.

We have just returned from holiday in Pattaya Thailand, whilst there our hotel was the Royal Cliff Terrace. The terrace is one of four at the Royal Cliff Resort all of which are five star,we have stayed there three times prior to this year and each time the only word that comes to mind is outstanding.
There must be nearly two thousand staff there and from the general manager to the cleaning staff all they ever do is try to help you and they always do it with a smile on their face and its genuine as well.
The Terrace was renovated last year and they have made the rooms even more luxurious and i didn`t think that was possible. Another good feature in these uncertain times is the security staff who seem everywhere and they always greet you with a smile and a salute, although i have never heard a raised voice in these hotels its a nice feeling to know you are totally safe.
We understand they have won another prestigeous award this year and i fully understand why.Brilliant just brilliant.

Our 7th visit which says it all - we've never been back to any other hotel even twice. Top quality luxury but the most friendly staff you could ever hope for. Nothing is too much trouble. Treated like a VIP but never intrusive or made to feel uncomfortable. Despite this, the price is right. We'll be back next year.

Every staff in the Resort is giving best service and take good care of me.

This is one of many reasons why I kept coming back. I have stayed here for more than 25 years. All my close friends do like it here very much also.

We have stayed at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort for more than 20 years. Our preferred room type is the Royal Cliff Terrace which has been completely renovated in Thai Style earlier this year. My husband has a walking handicap, so he occasionally requires a wheelchair. The resort features ramps and has elevators directly descending to the beach, which makes it an ideal place for us. We have come to love the staff, who are able to "read" our special, non outspoken wishes. They know and remember every details of our likes. The hotel offers medical assistance and has two nurses on duty, who have looked after my husband on various occasions. There are a couple of music bands in the hotel - one of them in the Italian Rossini Restaurant remembers and plays our favorite songs. All in all, we have never experienced a place which is more relaxing and safe and secure. The caring attitude of the staff and management has made us to feel about the resort as our second home. This year they have given me photos about the Christmas decoration in the resort. Where else can you get such a personalized service? We hope to be able to return for many more years in the future.

I have stayed here several times over the past 5 years, normally on business, and have noticed the standard slipping throughout that time. The rooms have balconies with good water views but are now badly in need of renovating. There are loud plumbing noices throughout the night from rooms above and adjoining and the general decor is shabby and outdated. This hotel also has a policy of charging at every opportunity. Whilst service at the restaurants and pools is generally good the attitude of reception staff and cashier leave a lot to be desired. The hotel seems to cater increasingly for russian tourists. I won't be returning. There are several much better value hotels than this in Pattaya/Jomtien.
